Default eBid

Hi all. Has anybody on here registered with ebid? I did today, tried to login to my account and received the following message:

vBulletin Message
You have been banned for the following reason:
To regain access here please login to the main eBid site to fix a problem we are having with your registered email address. Thx.

Date the ban will be lifted: Never

No reason, no way to contact customer services and no e-mails from them. And I thought ebay was bad

To be honest - you're not missing much. I've had one of my ste alth accounts on there since August of last year. It has taken £14.00

There is a thread elsewhere on this forum about this issue. Many people have been banned for what seems to be no reason.

I have been banned/suspended from eBid in the past. It only seems to be people selling cheap counterfeit items who get sales, still a low number of sales though.

You can see items that have been on there for years and nobody has even placed a bid.

I have also had an account reinstated, though it wasn't a 'NEVER' account.

Just open another if you want to sell on it.

eBid is a waste of time unfortunately - not enough traffic to get any sales.

I set up a ebid account and didn't sell a single item out of 20 I listed, I relisted them on e bay and sold the whole lot. Ebid just ain't got the traffic to sell owt, some items didn't sell on ebid for 99p that I sold on e bay for over £20!

No harm in having some ebid auctions running along side your ebay auctions though is there?

Diversification without too much new expense is always good for business.

Agreed rsot - however I dont believe paying their lifetime membership of £49.99 is worth it just incase you dont sell much volume through the site...test the water first

Only fa kes stand a chance of selling on eBid, even then, they are sold for much cheaper on eBid than they are on eBay.

Perhaps it will one day be worth using for everyone

But for now, nah!

I reckon all us UK users should list our items on there as well as eBay - I would really like to see ebid do better and start getting more traffic
