Using a VPN in Thailand

I am a little bit confused with all of the technical talk in the ebook and in the forum. I am interested in the VPN as a quick and easy way to change Ip addresses, but isn't that pretty much the same as a proxy server.

Also, my understanding is that VPN service in Thailand shows your Ip address as being in another country. Won't that create problems.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Many VPNs are frowned upon by ebay. What's your understanding of VPN?

Yes the goal would be to get an IP from another country.

vpn better than proxies also public free proxy.
with vpn you can open https page. many proxy cant do that also blacklisted at many merchant
