Hi,

PayPal want me to prove my address, so I've had my bank change my address and they are sending me out a statement, a problem I have is that the bank account number and sort code has been used in the past.

Would I be able to block out the account details or will paypal not like that?.

i think that should be ok,
as you are concerned about your bank details getting into the wrong hands,
id cover the details up,
they want proof of address!

In the past I had to upload a scanned bank document, I censored out the bank account number and they requested that I un-censor it. They said however, the payments that were made on the bank statement could be censored, just not the number and the address.

However, I didn't request that I felt uncomfortable doing that, I know if you get lucky with some paypal employees they find different ways that may be easier to verify your address.

why are you asking for bank to change address -thats a bit long winded.

yes you can block out number if you want.

So I can get a bank statement.

You can request a statment to be sent to more than one address anyway.

i think you can cover up all the 12 digit number apart from the front two and the last four!

something similar on the account number and sort code,just so they can see its from the bank account attatched to pp

^ Hmmmmm, why go to all the effort of doing other things on your bank statement and then not bother with other parts such as account number and sort code.
