Have I really been linked already man????
 

I am panicking like hell. I created a new stealth eb and pp account last night on a completely different user created on my computer- say John Smith is the user name. My normal user name- lets say jane doe is the user account I created my old eb and pp accounts on- they are temporarily suspended for selling but not banned completely. I have not logged into john smiths user account since last night. I have logged into jane does user account this morning- been on the forum and checked emails etc-NOT logged into my old eb or pp accounts yet. EB is saved into favorites on this user account. Just hit ebay- still not logged in and I am devasted to see at the top

What the hell is this????? I have 3g mobile broadband- my IP address changes everytime I log off and on. They cannot have linked me by cookies as separate user accounts keep cookies separate yeah?
Have I been linked- Bear in mind that I have not logged into my old eb or pp accounts yet- or my stealth ones today for that matter but why the hell has it prepopulated my stealth username on my normal user account???

No to me this sounds like a mistake by you.

Sound like you have logged into youu new ebay account on your old user account without realising. Perhaps you even created your new ebay account on your old user account without realising :doh:

The reason it is "prepopulated" with your user id is because of this 'Keep me signed in'.

Thanks for reply shady. I am pretty sure that I didn't- I have been extra cautious but god knows!! I presume that stealth account is linked with my old ones now thought and no good?

No this is nothing to do with linking. What do you think, ebay are playing games with you and logged you into your new account on your old user account :D

It can be linked if your cookies from your old account are stored still.

I am quite sure that either you did not switch user accounts or you logged into the other eb ay account on this user account. Happens if you are not careful. Anyhow, ONE TIME is not the end of the world. Just be aware and adjust accordingly.

Did you add a bank account to the paypal?

If not then I would discard the accounts if they are new and possibly linked. True that they may or may not be linked, but why invest in something that could be volatile.

If you have added your bank account and do not want to change your account number or close the bank account, then carry on with your EB/PP accounts and just cross your fingers and toes.

I don't really want to say you will be OK because what you did goes against stealth.
