I really need some help with this ASAP.
 

I have posted before about this but never really got a real answer on what exactly to do.

I have an account in my adult sons name and stealth details(no SSN attached). I am getting close to paypal asking me for the SSN or EIN due to the 20K/200 items thing.

I do NOT want to lose my very good standing ebay account and I dont currently have another to spread it out.

Can I open a 2nd paypal account(full stealth this time) and just attach it to my ebay account in place of what is there now? OR do I just give paypal my EIN that I have under my real name.(can they see the name?) Or should I just get A new EIN with the IRS and just something like my middle name an last(matches my sons) so it should work I would think.

I dont know what to do and its stressing me the hell out fast. I'm afraid to pull the trigger here since I want to keep my ebay account for sure.

I appreciate any help here. I am desperate to get this taken care of. I however would do anything to keep my ebay account intact. I really dont want to mess with limits, etc. currently I have absolutely no limits according to ebay yesterday when talking to them.

You are between a rock and a hard place. You want to keep your EB account but cannot comply with what PP wants. Stealth is not an issue here as you cannot add a new Paypal account to your EB account without setting off the alarms.

You have a series of choices to make.

1. Comply with what PP wants - but you say you cannot do this.
2. Start anew under stealth - but you say you want to keep your EB account
3. Start a new PP account and add that to your EB account - That will get you limited and you will then have no choice but to revert to option 2

The choice is yours of course, and I certainly wouldn't want to influence you - but can you see any other options?

The only reason I cannot simply let them report in my sons name is due to the fact that it will be on his taxes and not mine. there are a ton of issues with that, student loans, grants, etc. just a mess.

I may just do a complete stealth account with ebay and paypal and just start over. Then next year just start using it again and stay under the 20k mark.

Could I just file for an EIN under my name and just use my middle and last which would be the same as his anyway but my EIN and tax liability and not his??Then I can just add it to the Paypal account I already have a be fine.

I guess I dont understand what issue paypal would have with just replacing the paypal account on my ebay account. I would do it before they ask for the EIN/SSN though. I can see there being a problem if I did it after they asked for it.

just open a paypal non stealth if possible and put that in the payments areas in the listing. i have 3 non stealth paypals and 5 ebay all non stealth all legit accounts (no vero) and i switch paypals around all the time.

That is what I was hoping to hear. I need to do a stealth though since my real details were hosed long ago. I can do a middle name and last though and be somewhat non stealthy. lol..

The whole idea of stealth is for ppl and eb to have no idea that its not the real info. IF they thought in any way there was a stealth account for someone it would be closed immediately anyway. Am I right?? I thought that what the whole purpose of stealth accounts.

I have absolutely NO VERO items at all and I list only in the business categories and according to most of the stuff I read on the ebay site that is one of only a few categories they leave alone for some things. IE, reimbursement method, etc.

By the way, how do you have 3 non stealth paypal accounts? did you use family members or something? just curious.

Also when you move different accounts into the payment area of the listings are they all the same name/addresses? I would think that if they had different names on them there would be an issue. then again, I guess only issues get brought up when you are doing something wrong in my experience. if you stay away from VERO items describe things accurately, keep claims down and send stuff on time you are golden.

Why have non-stealth accounts? Isnt that why you are here?

How do you run 3 PP and 5 EB without getting linked and shut down?

i dont need stealth for what im selling plus i didnt know about it all this time...i have big feedback on all of them . Why would they shut me down? The paypal are in 3 different family member names with approval from them. Yes all the accounts are linked but i dont sell any vero currently that would get me limited or suspended but i will be soon once my stealth are aged nicely.

Thats all I was wondering about. I figured they were all in family names. The only part that sucks is since they are NOT stealth then when one get any kind of BS associated with it they all will. People (even I do it)say I'm doing nothign wrong so why would the limit or close me down. They just do it and I dont think even ebay can explain why sometimes. BS comes to you sometimes with customers and it has nothing to do with how good your are doing.

So back to my original question that I need help on so bad. Anyone else say I should just open a new stealth paypal and just put it in the paymenst section on my listings? I really think this will work. anyone that has actually done this want to chime in?? please?.........
