Creating a buyer account and buying from your selling account for feedback

I was thinking about creating a buying account to buy from my selling account for good feedback. Has anyone done this?

It's possible if you're in stealth mode but ebay take a dim view of shill bidding. Also note that if you leave more than 1 feedback (i.e. you buy 10 different items from yourself) it will only clock up 1 feedback. Also, you will incur seller fees. Beware thought - if ebay do 'cotton on' you will prob lose both the seller account and the buyer account and paypal account to boot!

I would not suggest you to do that ever.. as my 3 accounts nearly 3 year old with 170,78,20 feedbacks got closed due to shill bidding because I was not aware of the result. I wish I would't have done that :-(

You really don't want to be doing that. You are much better off buying a few low value items - preferably where the listing is private. It just isn't worth the risk

Can be done "stealthily". Repeatedly? Looks bad. Sloppily? Looks very bad. Always better ways to gain feedback and easy too. Search the forum for many posts on this topic. all the best.

It is more than possible with stealth, getting artificial seller feedback, but as mentioned, repeat buys will likely be noticed by someone.

I used to have 20 buyer accounts just for that purpose but the feedback looked too superficial, to make it look legit would take the same amount of time as it would to actually sell the real thing, better just to sell a bunch of cheap junk.

I wouldn't do that man it man not worth the risk. Just sell cheap stuff that looks good at 0.99 cents starting price and your feed back will build up in no time.

For example I was selling small unicorns that looked really nice starting at 0.99 cents. They cost me $1 so I didn't care if they sold for .99 cents because I was just fishing for feedback so I could start listing more expensive stuff.

Anyway they ended up selling for more than that so I was happy. Igot my feedback back plus some extra dough on top of that.

You have to be very carefully shill bidding in any way as a guy in the UK got got fined £5000 and had to do 250hrs community service last year for shill

wow if you have 20 good feedback from 20 diff buyers that would make you look way legit

For sure. Gives you more "street cred".
