Both limited after 30 mins!
 

I've set up bay and payola accounts today and done everything stealth as have done before with no problems but this time got limited within 30 mins!

Has anything changed for uk users that im unaware off?!

Yes, this same thing happend to me a couple of weeks ago, how old were the accounts?

i only just set them up, i done the same as I usually done, though haven't used bay or pal for a couple of weeks now

Need a lot more info to comment. What VCC did you use? Everything new including phone number? Possibly phone number had been used by someone else in the past? Did you try to sell right away? What did you list? Etc. etc. etc.

Have you opened an account since with no problems? Was it just bad luck or maybe too many similarities to other accounts Ive had and were limited in the past?

vcc was entro which has never been a prob.
do online phone numbers get recycled?
This is the problem as I have lost all previous details from other accounts thats why i really need to change my ip to a different town so I know im not using the same ip that I may have used in the past

I tried to use entro today to make a purchase - no go (I started a seperate thread on that)

I tried to open an account a couple of weeks ago using entro and failed miserably:mad2:

hope entropy hasn't gone down :( Are they any other uk vcc's that can be used with success??

I have been reading lots of comments about entro. Has anyone asked PP or EB if they can be used? I'll try that and report back

i use prepaid credit card. they are not expensive...is that an option?

i dont thin you should mention entropy to them just in case! Otherwise im sure in a few weeks it would def be banned from them.

Entro, is completely dead if you ask me. No wonder you got limited immediately. Entro is 6 feet in the ground now. :doh:

thanks for the reply, along with that does UK paypal accounts allow withdraws to mastercard or visa card. If you are verified with a bank account?

In my time on these forums I have realised that often we are our own worst enemies. We post all of our collective knowledge of the system on open forums that anyone can read rather than in subscribed sections of the site. Very soon valuable assets no longer work. Feel free to PM me and I will do the best I can for you but I only know my way around the UK system - not Singapore (which I assume from your flag is where you are)

no it doesnt allow withdrawal to visa, and no country will be allowed soon I think

Aspkin must go underground because eBay and PayPal must check like Medway said, it's the only way I think

You say "limited", so I assume you are referring to just your PayPal account having issues.

Did you attempt to lift the £1900 limit by adding a VCC on PayPal?

What reason was you given for the limitation on your account?

Wait im confused... does the vcc remove the £1900 limit? I always presumed bank acc needed for that one?? :S

Adding and confirming a bank account on PayPal will give you 'verified' status. However, this removes every limit except the £1900 receiving limit.

In order to remove the £1900 limit, you add and confirm a credit card (VCC), however you must also confirm your identity with PayPal.

They will attempt to confirm your identity by using the electoral roll and if unsuccessful, they will ask you to submit documents instead (Proof of name & proof of address).

I don't get it guys..... Entropay still works for me, but I don't use it too much too fast! I prefer buying VCC from variable sources.

Paypal detects patterns! For example too many accounts created in one day with the same card issuer, same bank sort-code/routing-number, same ISP, same date, same operating system, same browser, same browser version, (possibly also same computer name)....if all this match, you are busted!

^ I really think what you said about too many PayPal accounts created in one day with same this and same that is not accurate at all.

I cannot be 100% sure, but I know even I can get this info from people visiting my websites with a simple script (not the computer name though). Then I could forward it in a database for comparison very easy.

I'm sure paypal will be doing this, and this is why I use multiple computers, with their own dongles on different networks (3-mobile, t-mobile, vodafone, and soon i will try orange), 6 different browsers (safari, chrome, firefox, opera, maxthon and lunascape), and different Operating systems.

So far, and since i do all these, I have never been linked, and not a single account failed in 7-8 months.

The way I see it, you can never be careful enough.
I now also have 10 current accounts with 10 different banks, which can also easy generate a fair number of additional accounts savings and current.
Everything different...this is the way to do it

Oh, and my credit score is 850, so for sure bank accounts don't affect it.

Browswer and OS is not unique, think of how many users have the same verions, many.

The thing is that a persons browser uniqueness is ever changing, so that is not really unique enough is it.

It would be very slack of them if there wasn't wouldn't it? Check on the number of guests we have reading this site. Those that join don't have handles like 'IworkforEbay' or 'paypalspiesRus' do they? Think about it and be careful what you say on the forums

ii remembered when i first stumbled across this site - I was ultra paranoid about posting sensitive info about myself and even when joining this forum I think I used a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ name incase an administrator on here had slipped under the radar and was a pp or eb employee.
