called ebay today and guess what?
 

I just called them out of the blue just to see what they would say if i asked nicely why my account was suspended and guess what? they said that if i faxed them over some info listed below they would review it.

Now keep in mind before this they said that the suspension was indefinate. I called and did everything i could before and they said that nothing can be done. This is back in january.

So now my question is. Do you think this will work? I mean i know its worth a try and i got nothing to lose but, dont want to waste any time if there is nothing i can do.

Well anyhow i thought this was good information for everyone to know. Try and give them a call, you never know. I'll let you guys know how it goes after i fax this info in.

serious concerns that you may not be following eBay policies. We're
doing this to protect our members while we make sure the matter doesn't
lead to harm -- however unintentional -- to eBay members.

You can request that your account be reinstated by sending us these
documents:

- A copy of your driver's license or other government-issued ID that
shows your name and address

- A copy of a recent credit card statement, bank statement, or utility
bill statement clearly showing your name and billing address. For
security reasons, please black out the first 4 and last 4 numbers of
your credit card number or your account numbers from other documents.

The information on all of these documents needs to match the information
on your eBay account.

Be sure to include on all documents the user ID and email address for
the suspended account you're appealing. If you send a fax with a cover
sheet, include the user ID and email address on the cover sheet. We need
that information to process your request.

Try it. It might work! I'll give paypal a call in the near future to see maybe if they will lift my limited status lol. I have read that this has worked for some depending on the history of the account.

If that all they are asking for and you can provide that then I would say you have a great shot and getting the account back. How come you waited so long for such a few items??

Just as a side note - and not to deflate your chance - quite a lot of cases of suspension, then folx call in, pp says ok send us docs, and then ban them for good. Hopefully not in your case but it happens a lot so don't hold your breath.

thats the exact message i got! i tried to attach the files and told them that i scanned them because i was having trouble faxing...

^ Look around the forum for online fax services, if people are having success with them, then the problem is yours. They do work.

Either that or upload them. People prefer faxing for obvious reasons.
