The problem you have honey is that this issue has been dealt with hundreds of times. The very good folk on this forum sometimes have problems when people come on and don't use the facilities on the forum.

Now, go to the top of the page and just to the left of your name there is a search function. That little white box will take you to a veritable encyclopedia of knowledge.

This time I will answer your question - but normally I don't spoon feed or bottle feed people who wont help themselves. (I do bottle feed orphan lambs though!)

You give PP your stealth info - everything you fill in on PP must match your stealth info - no exceptions - your real info is only for you and your bank.

It's been covered hundreds of times. (Be glad it's me and not some of the other stealthers who has told you - I'm one of the nicer ones)

Hope that helps

Hey ebaymaster,

To get 'Verified' status on UK PayPal you must add a bank account.

Adding a Credit Card to PayPal will 'Lift Limits' (£1900 Receiving Limit).

Does this clear things up a little. I understand what you are trying to do, but it is best to understand the PayPal procedure first.

You add bank account first to get verified and then use your credit card to remove the £1900 receiving limit. As you are using stealth details, you will be asked for documents when lifting the £1900 limit though.

NEVER give PayPal your real/suspended info, that is a MUST take note moment! :p

If your stealth name is Joe Bloggs, then just add the bank account using this name.

theebaymaster01 06-11-2011 04:36 PM

Hey thanks to BOTH! I do understand a little clearer, yes, thank u shadyone, however, I know that u must add a bank acount to get verified. Its just that I have added this, however, I do not know which name to submit to my bank when sending the direct debit form to the bank, from my paypal. ie i dnt knw whether to use my actual bank account name or the ⊗⊗⊗⊗ stealth name?? does this make sense??

ShadyOne 06-11-2011 04:37 PM

You have to use your STEALTH NAME at all times. Think about it. PayPal will see whatever information you put in when submitting the DD.

Trust me, you should be able to set up the DD with no problem.

Just report back if you experience any problems.

theebaymaster01 06-11-2011 04:38 PM

Oh sorry, I didnt see your second message, before submitting the one i did before, once again thanks shadyone, i wish everyone was as helpful as u!!! :)

ShadyOne 06-11-2011 04:39 PM

No problem man, been there, I know how confusing it is at first with stealth.

theebaymaster01 06-11-2011 04:46 PM

Hi, sorry, just before I actually do this, I was just wondering will my bank not find out and then will I get linked and suspended or something?? And if it is then verified using the stealth name, will I be able to transfer and withdraw funds smoothly?? Cheers mate.

GrannyT 06-11-2011 04:52 PM

theebaymaster01 - spend a little money and invest in the stealth guide - it's a marvellous piece of work - it cures anxieties, it solves problems and it gives self confidence. It also educates and answers every one of your questions. Go for it - you know it makes sense!!

ShadyOne 06-11-2011 04:55 PM

Your bank will not share your info with PayPal.

Withdrawing should be fine. Adding funds may give PayPal the chance to see your real name. Avoid this.

ShadyOne 06-11-2011 05:04 PM

In terms of the bank seeing your stealth name, it can depend on which bank you use, some are strict about this and some are not.

Make sure that you do not abuse your bank accounts with DD under multiple names. Use sperate banks instead. Though many probably get away with using the same bank. Your choice.

Also, if your real name is 'Jack Blogger', then use a stealth name like 'Joe Bloggs' or 'Joe Blogger' etc etc.

Then when submitting the DD, you can submit it as J Bloggs or J Blogger, which would appear to be you to your bank.

Hi my bank is HSBC. However, my stealth name on paypal and ebay is completely diff to my real name, and so I am thinking of, with ur advice of sending tthe DD with my stealth name?? is this ok??? thanks

GrannyT 06-11-2011 05:13 PM

Sorry - I give up - how many times and ways do you need telling? Do you want me to come to your house and do it for you?

ShadyOne 06-11-2011 05:14 PM

HSBC is not a bank I use and not one that I am aware of many UK stealth members using. I have a feeling that I read somewhere that they are not very good for stealth.

Your choice. Submit and see how things go, the worst case scenario really is that the bank close your account and decide to not have you banking with them. So what, that would give you a chance to open an account at a better bank.

Can't give a guarantee on HSBC being OK with this, if it was me, I would have clicked submit on the DD already :p

Their are a lot of great people on this forum, grannytranny included, just about catching people on a good day. :amen:

I know of stealth members in the UK using banks like Santander, NatWest, Halifax, RBS, Co-op and probably a lot more, with no problem.
