Johnson & Pham again
 

Hello,

I am new to the forum and have read all the posts regarding Johnson & Pham, however have not seen anyone post what the final outcome was. I received the email from them like so many others have and I discontinued selling the item right away. I did not have any auctions shut down by ebay nor did i get any warnings from ebay. My account is still up and running to date. Email from J&P came mid May and ignored it. Came home yesterday and there was a slip from the post man that there is a letter that has to be signed for from Johnson.
Has this happened to anyone else? What did you do? What was the outcome? Any advise would be appreciated.

They are just trying to scare you. Ignore them and go stealth. Don't sign the letter ignore like you never got it. All they do is try to hustle people for money.

An email is not an official way to be served a lawsuit but I think certified mail is.

Can't give advice though sorry.

My GUESS would be that they are trying to get proof that you have read any legal information from them and that you have been officially notified of what they are trying to do. Another GUESS would be that if this is under stealth information, I personally would not pick it up or sign anything, and just let it go. After about a week of not signing a letter/package it will be sent back. I am sure there are a countless number of people who are selling VeRO items, and the companies will track down eveyone possible and pursue the easiest suspects (non stealth). It only takes one scare like this to sh!t your pants and stop doing it, and that would be my advise. eb@y and am zon take this seriously as they should, but you need to find an alternative selling method of legitamit items. They do not always need to be the most popular or top brand name items, and most times selling thousands of $10-20 items is the best way.
