21 day hold warning
 

Hi

just listed 1st item on a new acc - I was given the 21 day hold pre-warning, which I also am shown when i did revisions.

The item is not a high-end branded product, but it is new. Nor is it highly priced - less than a fiver.

So, I was assuming that something I did triggered this - multiple possible reasons i suppose.
But my question is, now Ive had the pre-warning, does this mean a definate 21 day hold will be coming for any sales?

This then really p's me off as I would then have to sort out alternative eb fee's funding as the money wont be available in pp - so does anyone have any suggestions for a UK VCC that is ok for paying eb fees. Many Many Thanks

Nope I think thats standard now I have the same

Once you get feedback they release the money almost instantly so its not a massive problem and I think its removed when you get to 10 feedback if im not mistaken

Yes, standard for new eBay sellers.

21 day will not be on all transactions.

Receiving feedback or 3 days after delivery being confirmed (tracking), your money will/may be released to you.

My 4 month old account which never has any limits or problems and is low key received an email from pp today saying I will be getting the 21 day hold.

Now thats sorta the opposite! .... really annoying too.

they do this at random it seems, i have 3 accs opened at around the same time, only one had the 21 day hold, the other 2 didnt, all selling similar items.

It was removed after about a month i think, and as soon as you are left feedback the funds are released, if they dont leave fb you get the funds after 21 days anyway.

A bit of a pain, especially if you are selling stuff with reasonably high postage costs, but just another way for eb & ppal to play god really!
