Default selling limit because of -1 feedback

so i have a 0 feebdack account with 2 negatives and 1 positive. im trying to sell on it, but it gives me a message i need to bring my account to 0 or positive 1 to sell at least 1 item. so if i cant even list an item what do i do? just buy cheap stuff and get feedback stats up?

Wow - how did you get 2 negatives? I've never had one. Guess all you can do is buy stuff and get it back to plus

That sounds about right - but negative? you`re better than that - check your business model - the accounts sounds fresh so prob better just to to make a new one.

Thats what it looks like to us as well. You had a 0 feedback and you already ran out of product. that is probably how they saw it too. What would you have thought?

I would leave that account and start over for sure. I wouldnt even try to fix it.

...or you can start a fresh account again, pretty sure that's a lot safer and have less hassle in your case.

On the rare occasions that I run out of stock (stoned), I immediately contact the buyer and let them know that when I went to pick and pack the order, the item was water damaged due to recent rain (etc. etc.), too damaged to send out.
I apologise and tell them I have refunded straight away.

9/10 they understand. Any 'stroppy' ones, I say to them if there is anything else in my shop they would like, I can do it at cost price and send out asap - so that keeps them happy.

......and.... shame on you for not even getting feedback and getting minus wat u playin' at man ..... as rsot said... you are better than that! - FandangoKango..... 'hall of shame' or the 'naughty step' for you

As you have not been suspended on that eb account, I suggest you forget about the eb account and open another eb in the same address - diff. name, attach it to the same pp adding a different email to the pp, and you will be ok - dont use the old eb. - it wont work if your original (the minus) eb account is suspended.

I have multiple accounts i had sold a ton the past day and thought i had more, but it was my error. oh well. I would have not even bothered with the seller if it was me. Im not much of a cheap a hole in the world. I pay for expensive things if its worth it online and in the real world.

Either way with a good reason or not I am just telling you what a buyer thinks and seems with ebays rules the buyer is all that matters.

this made me lol. Why do you list items that you don't have? I've seen more negative feedback from pissed off customers because sellers are selling more of an item than they actually have. Absolutely terrible business practice, I highly recommend changing your methods if you want to succeed

It has happened to me on a couple of occasions that I made a mistake. Listing an item I thought I had in stock. I always explain to the buyer that I made a mistake, however I honor all my sales and will buy it from another source even if I lose a few bucks. I always get amazing feedback, because often the item will come with a invoice showing I paid more. These are more often repeat customers that come back because they know that I will always honor a sale. But to each their own, although might explain why I have several thousand sales in last 2 years.

Question? So I can make a new account with the same name, address, email, etc or what do I change? The ebay account has not been suspended and is fine. Only has 2 negatives for not selling the item so if I get linked in the future??
