Default Global Bank Verification - Verify a 2nd Time Through EB??

Hi

I received the usual 10 items p/m on a new seller acc and clicked a link to find out how to lift the limits.

On this page with the usual selling info was another link - "lift limits by confirming my identity with a bank account - Global Bank Verification".

The steps were the same as pp verify - but the final step is to insert the 2 small deposits info into EB not PP.

I am already pp verified, so I am not sure what they are trying to do.

Can anyone please advise - has anyone been through this process?

Thanks Heaps

Are you sure you have linked your verified PayPal to your eBay?

Just keep clicking and go through their process - you may get an error message which is good!

Go back to you ebay - start listing - you should be able to list away

Hi. They made me do the deposit thing again through ebay. I went ahead with it all. The deposits never came (prob coz my pp was already verified and I did this before through pp when I opened it). I was able to list away, straight away.

If that is what you are talking about, then I feel its safe to do and its just one of the brilliant computer programs doing its thing.

I wasn't aware of GBV until this thread, been using eBay for a few years as well

Couldn't find much on it either. Ah well, perhaps it is fairly new, anyway hope it all works out NAHB.

It seems rather pointless - ive already completed this process - but maybe it is just a system glitch and I will receive an error message. But then again, the wording seems unfamiliar so its probably fairly new.

I only came across this when receiving the "you are about to reach your 10 items p/m limit etc" message screen - the link was on this screen.

Also I noted the requirements for becoming a business seller - "if you expect to sell more than 100 items p/m, you are require to become a business seller - you will have to go through a vetting process!"

Does anyone know what this currently is? Has anyone opened new business accounts very recently? Or is it just their f'd up way of wording things?

Will keep you informed.

I opened a 3 business eb 2 months ago and I have had no vetting.

I opened a business eb a few days ago and it was all as usual.

But I am not selling hundreds of items or expensive things maybe thats why I did not have to go vet

The process it pretty much the same as opening a personal.

They ask only a handful of extra (minor) questions. ie. business name, type of business (individual, solo etc.)

You can opt to enter your vat reg. number.

As mentioned, its similar easy process and you wont need to be prepared for anything beforehand.

I know its only been a few days since I opened mine, but I cant remember the exact steps - soz

From my experiences, there are no special requirements to open a business.
