| | | biggunn | 06-28-2011 02:37 PM | Request higher selling limits So after clicking the link that says "Request higher selling limits," what does eB ask for when you click on:
"Confirm your personal information"
"It only takes a few moments. Once we've verified your personal information you can sell with higher monthly limits."
Do they just say to give them a call? |
Seems like it - if you fail the phone call, be ready with docs. |
| smellybelly | 06-28-2011 04:16 PM | u link ur paypal to ur ebay account wen u click the request higher selling limits
if not u manually do a bank confirmation request of the deposits through ebays system |
| biggunn | 07-01-2011 12:26 AM | Let me clarify this a bit.. I'm talking about an account that is less than 90 days old. When I go to MyEb > MyEb Selling, on this screen it has the 10 item or $2000 limit. Under this limit, I can click on "Request higher selling limits" The options for me on the next screen are to link to an established seller account or to confirm my information. Hopefully that makes sense.. :D Quote:

(1) are you talking about when you are listing on eb, at the end once you click list and it all goes through, a message is there saying something about the global verification thingy to request that you can sell more items or....
(2)i s it on pp where you want to lift some of the limits?
If its the 1st one I mentioned then they dont ask for docs or call you or anything - it just makes you sign into your pp and if you already confirmed a bank on there its all sorted or they will put 2 deposits into your bank and ask you to do it like that.
If its the 2nd thing I mentioned, then rsot has said it | |
| unkown5454 | 07-01-2011 04:06 AM | It's for the stupid 4 question identity quiz... |
| biggunn | 07-01-2011 02:39 PM | Turns out it just takes you to a page that asks you if your information is all correct. I clicked yes and then eb said they could not verify my info so my selling limits cannot be raised. The only option now is to call... Does this mean I'm stuck with 10 items/$2000 ?? |
| smellybelly | 07-01-2011 02:41 PM | just call ebay and answer the questions... cant be that hard |
| GrannyT | 07-01-2011 03:00 PM | Yes it can - too many people have reported failing this
:pop2: |

Keep breaching the 10 item limit and retain positive feedback and your limits should start increasing each month. |
| smellybelly | 07-03-2011 08:04 AM | i called ebay to up my selling limit/allowance... i dont think they understood wot i mean... but i remember them saying for me to sell more in the category im sellin in, i would need to wait past the 90 days...
im confused so wot is the selling limit for and why does it say to add a bank account if they are not going to remove the selling limit to sell more... |

I think to increase selling limits, it has to be after 90 days.
I remember when I called they increased from 100 items / 7500$ to 100 / 30.000$
But it was about 4 months after I started selling only, not in the first 90 days. |
| smellybelly | 07-03-2011 02:55 PM | these selling allowances are putting a REAL strain on my sales |

They told me I would have to call them to get the limits increased.
I can sell 100 items of 5k a month on the account at the moment. Given the items I sell are £200+ it is rubbish for me really. |
| smellybelly | 07-04-2011 05:09 AM | pmsl, they are effectively saying, we dont want you to have all this profit in a short period of time... we want you to spread it out over 90 days.... F YOU
the amount of items i could of sold now if these selling limits werent here and if i could sell in the RIGHT CATEGORIES!!! |
| biggunn | 07-04-2011 09:30 PM | 100 items / 5k / month is plenty. Just create a few accounts. I'm getting smacked with a 10 item/mo limit. |
| Littlemorestealth | 07-05-2011 02:32 AM | Once the 90 days passes then its happy days |
| biggunn | 07-06-2011 02:58 AM | I'm well past the 90 days now, but still at 10 items/mo. I clicked the confirm identity link before the 90 day mark. It took me to a screen where it had my simply confirm my stealth info (which was variations of my real info). It said that it would 'instantly confirm my details.' Next screen it said unable to confirm details and to call to discuss for higher limits. It looks like I might be stuck on this limit...
Anyone have any info on this?? |
| saffron604 | 07-06-2011 05:48 AM | My experience. I called them up too. Indian accent and a stealth White american name .
The lady simply told me to wait for 90 days.
Its worth calling . |
| Axcend | 07-06-2011 06:13 AM | Spread your sales over multiple accounts. 10 accounts = 100 items a month you can sell with 20000 limit. Problem solved :). |
| smellybelly | 07-06-2011 07:31 AM | not that easy when u have a mac
+ it is also long making 10 ebay/paypal accounts and monitoring all of them ... how |
| biggunn | 07-06-2011 03:59 PM | These last few posts were pretty much stating the obvious... I was hoping that someone could give me some real information on the situation here.
This account is now well past 90 days since my first sold item. It is still at 10 items/month. Have people run into this before?
The second issue... Eb gave me the option to instantly confirm my details? Would the limits have been lifted if I had been using real information (stealth, but real name and address, no ssn). |
| saffron604 | 07-07-2011 07:43 AM | the lady told me its 90 days since your first sale.
so if you created account on May 1 started selling on may 23 , count 90 days from may 23 then. |
| biggunn | 07-08-2011 01:44 AM | In most cases this is true. With my case, it is not true. My first item was sold at the end of March. I verified this in my email history. Regardless, I still have the 10 item limit... No one has run into this?? Quote:

| biggunn | 07-08-2011 02:14 PM | Ok, so my conclusion with this issue... When I clicked on 'request higher selling limits' ebay checked the personal details on my account against public records... When this failed since I used a name that does not exist, ebay froze me at the 10 item/mo limit unless I call to "discuss my goals."
Not sure if this is commonly known already or not... :bump: |

When they asked for invoice, they also asked for id and username written next to the id and invoice.
Just call and tell them you have 5000$ or 100 items in your inventory and you want to sell it. |
| biggunn | 07-11-2011 07:42 PM | Well of course I have to call now if I want my limits increased. I used slightly different info than last time so I will surely be linked. If I hadn't gotten greedy, and waited a few more days, in theory the limits should have auto-changed to 100 items/mo. Quote:
