What card is guaranteed to work as of right now?
 

Ok, I have my new ebay & Paypal all set up. I got my Tracfone ready to go. The only thing holding me up is the credit card for verification. I've been searching these forums for the past few weeks & all I see are questions being asked but not answered, people going around in circles & old outdated threads.

So my question is pretty simple & I need a straight answer. As of right now,6/29/2011 which card works? Which card should I go get right now that will let me verify my Paypal account & get me selling on ebay as fast as possible?

I was just reading a thread that said Simon gift cards still work on Paypal but the thread was from 2009. Then I saw a thread that said Simon is discontinuing their gift cards. Then I saw another thread that said Simon gift cards don't work anymore. This isn't helping at all. Who am I supposed to believe? Which is it? Yes or no? Should I get a Simon gift card or something else? :mad2:

Wrong - Entropay is having a lot of difficulties with the USA - before using Entropay investigate some of the other threads on the forum.

Some people have had their credit card accounts closed because of Entropay and the USA internet gaming laws.

Much more research needed before you try this

See what I mean? I've been searching the forums for weeks & this is exactly what I've been finding. One person says 1 thing & then the next says the opposite so I'm sitting here on a pile of crap I wanna sell but can't make a move.:doh:


I was all set to buy a Simon gift card & then I saw some crap about them not working so I held off. Then I saw Vanilla Visa, then something about them not working so I held off. I can't find an up to date & accurate answer as to which card will definitely work.

You need to be in the subscribers section for the juicy bits - alternatively pm some of the US sellers on this forum. It's all out there but you have to do your homework.

You must remember the situation is always very fluid. Whenever the members of this forum find a work around the 'boys' do their best to stop it. Nothing is cast in concrete. I reiterate - pm some of the VCC sellers and ask their opinion - they are in the front line every day

Nothing is guaranteed. The whole thing is funky. Even the VCC I bought here didn't work with my account (apparently people are having success with these).

Vanilla Visa still works for me, only time it doesn't is when you forget to register it, just used one last night.

If you look at the dates on the posts you will see which is newer and older. The latests post atht I see do show the simon cards work fine.

I use the walmart greendot cards for ebay and have never had a problem but if you do it and mess up your registration on ebay or dont register the card properly then you would be the problem not the card.

that is what some people here do and blame it on the cards.

Just try one that people say works and if it dont then try something else. Ebay and paypal are notorious for allowing one thing one day and not the next. something you have do deal with.

You are on here because you probably messed up so you will have to be patient and do some research. Are you even familiar with the Stealth book at all??

Yeah don't get entropay in the US it will get your credit card closed. Plenty of sellers on here that can provide you cards, no reason to make it harder then it has to be. Getting the cards is one of easiest parts of going stealth.

Can the walmart money cards be used with your REAL information.
Then used for stealth eBay acc. ( diff info)

Someone said register the first card with legit info because you have to, then get the second one for $3 and put your ste.atlh information on the second one. Apparently problem is solved.

A lot of bank-backed gift credit cards will work too.

Okay I went to walmart today, they had reloadable visa cards but each one was for 3 dollars. So if I buy two won't they he separate and will need a separate ss# for that card. Also what are some bank backed gift cards I can use with paypal to confirm bank and use with eBay.

Most of the reloadable cards they sell in the stores for $3-$6, can be ordered for free online.

Unless u want a reloadable card then u dont have to buy them buy no reloadable these work for remove limits and making u a seller.

u will have to use the same ssn on each card if u plan to use the same info unless u got some one else who will let u put it in there info like a family member or something.

I read on here that i can use a walmart reloadable card to use as a bank account on paypal. Which would obviously include a acc # and routing #. Now my question is is that even possible? And if it is do i need a seperate card to become a verified seller or i can use the same card origanlly.
P.s i wondering some alternatives to opening new bank accounts without leaving the house :D

vanilla visa doesn't verify Paypal only a bank will.

Jbluntz is correct - you need a bank account to VERIFY a pa yp al account. You use your credit card to up the limits - an extra CONFIRMATION step. Therefore: a credit card ALONE will not be enough to VERIFY a pp account.

They sell the VCC's on this site and they have the best "guarantee" of any of the cards around. So if you spent around 10 buxx you wouldn't have to look so frustrated.

I had my P P verified with bank and also confirmed van illa visa to lift limits - only had to register zip code on visa. Worked for me at least.

You're talking about 2 different things, a bank let's you become paypal verified a vcc removes your monthly withdraw limits and can also be used to create a seller account.

Are you using different name address? on them for Ebay Paypal register and also on the Breadcard site also?

What is the difference between Entropay card and this one please?

Entropay doesn't work on a lot of sites in the US. I tried to use it with Mytempnumber.com and it is rejected no matter what info I use.

If you try to register with it with Amazon and buy something with it , the currency shows as the British Pound or whatever they use there. So it seems to be a big red flag to use it in the US.

You can't use En trop ay to set up a seller's account here.

What about GreenDot cards
 

Do GreenDot cards work for stealth accounts?

Are these the Vanilla Gift Cards or do they have Pre-Paid cards?

Clearly stated above that they work fine. The walmart ones anyway. I guess they would all be the same.

How do you register a vanilla card?
I got one at cvs $20.00 and then in their website I input my zip code (amazon Ghost account zip)
Is that all? or do I have to do anything else before trying.

I can't get the vanilla to work on eb. I registered my zip but eb just says that it can't authorize that card...

I did the PP first and then EB. PP charged 1.25 to the card, maybe thats when it gets activated..

Bought Vanilla Gift Card at store to start selling on ebay, filled that on pp page and got massage that card was denied or something like that, then i use to read around about it, i spend 10 min to read all what u guy's write here, then i use vanilla link website and registered zip code that i use on my paypal, filled again and it works.

now its 7:28 new york time 08/11/2011 and Vanilla Visa Gift Card price: $20 + $4.95 purchase charge with a first 4 digs (4847) *works*. So get in a car drive slowly get your Vanilla Gift Card and be cool.
If... i said IF its not working make sure u registered zip code.
Anyway if its not working, there should be a card that will works for sure bcuz as i see its kinda tricky thing, some card will works some not, the only way its to test.
