UK Bank Accounts
 

If you close a UK bank account and then go back to the same bank a month or two later and try to open another account, do they re-open the closed account (with the same account number) or do you get a new account?

I haven't had cause to do this yet (touch wood), but would be handy to know should a Paypal account or the linked Ebay account go down.

You would get a new account.

However I reccommend leaving it longer than a month or two before doing it not to araise suspicion.

Theres enough banks out there that work with stealth not to have to do it that soon.

Defiantly a new account number, I also keep a few different current accounts in reserve ready to be put into action for if (when) my PP accounts get limited which I have found to be a handy thing to do

Always new as long as the old one was closed....

Go to Barclays and ask for some sole trader accounts. You get them all to check on one screen then :)
