Exclamation Dymo Shipping Labels I Customized [Download]

I recently bought the Dymo LabelWriter 450 Turbo and the 30387 Labels off of eBay and I noticed that the default layouts they have when you install the software aren't very optimal (imo). I fiddled around with the default layout and customized it to look better aesthetically and logically (why waste space?).

In the zip are 2 files:

1.) Dymo30387DeliveryConfirm.lyt

Priority Mail/Delivery Confirm 30387 label where the delivery confirmation is on the right-most label instead of the center. I found that you can actually use the center for both the return/sent-to addresses and it made more sense. The postage prints on the left-most label.

2.) Dymo30387FirstClassLabel.lyt

Since most of my shipments are actually done via First-Class since its cheaper, I use this layout the most. Since it doesnt have delivery confirmation, the right-most label is used for postage, the center for the recipient, and the left-most for the return address. Pretty simple as opposed to their confusing default layout.

Pics of example labels included:

First Class:

Delivery Confirm:

Happy Shipping!

Cool.... Thanks!

What model do you suggest printing 300-500 labels a month?

I have never had one of these but have been thinking about getting one. Is it cost efficient vs printing labels. Convenience definite factor.

Also why do you not add tracking to First class 0.19 cents? Or do you not use ebay/paypal shipping?

Definitely the Dymo Labelwriter 450 Turbo. Got mine on Buy.com for 1/2 off (usually costs $160, paid $80 for it).

Its a thermal printer so you basically have infinite ink, and the labels are DIRT cheap off of ebay. I bought 300 labels for 8 bucks.

As for tracking, USPS only does tracking if you are shipping PARCELS via first class, not bubble mailers like I usually do =/

Anything over 1/4" thick is considered a parcel. I ship all bubble mailers as a parcel and get the delivery confirmation (for a fee).

Thanks for the post!

True! I just tried it and you're right! You can use "package (non rectangular)" for bubble mailers and get the DC for $.19 :D

That is good, but I use my ZP 500 Plus label printer that Fedex sent me for free with

50,000 labels last me a long time! I think its easier to just print one label. You can find a

Zebra printer on ebay with 10 rolls of 250 labels per roll for 150$USD
