Working out IP issues on new accounts

Thanks for the welcome. I have found some very interesting things here so far, just investigating which ones will work well in Australia. An I am seriously considering getting myself a few cheapo netbooks for different accounts as I have a really bad memory.

Maybe a lttle to extreme?

Naming each Windows user account on your Computer the name of your eBay account would probably be a better option. :)

Thanks for the headsup, I wasn't too sure if it would work well as I don't know if I have a static or dynamic ip. I suppose that's the first thing to figure out.

Check your IP here... What Is My IP Address? Lookup IP, Hide IP, Change IP, Trace IP and more...

Then click the gray box where it says "Additional IP Details" and it will let you know if yours is dynamic or static next to where it says Assignment:

WHEE found my usb modem thingy that came free for 2 years with my laptop, tested it and it changed ip everytime I connect so I'm thinking that should be ok, or can they track through the name registered on it? I hate australia for prepaid things, you have to show id for everything and they list it all.

Are you using the lap-top now to access this forum or are you using another PC?

Confirm that because you appear to have what is a static IP.

What's the drama about being tracked if you are doing nothing wrong? :pop2:

lol GreenBean using a laptop at the moment connected to a wifi network which is supposedly static but I do have the usb modem which is dynamic. I am paranoid by nature but essentially a good person, just screwed up by doing commission selling/dropshipping and buyers decided after the fact that they weren't happy for things to be shipped from another country.
