| Giardino | 07-04-2011 06:49 PM | Making gMail accounts So today I was trying to make a bunch of Gmail accounts but i've hit a snag after the first one.
I created the first one, deleted my cache/cookies etc. But when I try to make a second one all I get is "the page you requested is invalid" after I fill in all of the forms. =/
Any ideas? |
| NotAHappyBunny | 07-04-2011 06:52 PM | hi
gmail gave me a few problems recently - made 1st acc ok, then tried to make a 2nd on a different user acc and ip but it asked for phone number to verify.
Not tried again yet - used an alternative. |
| TheGenius | 07-04-2011 06:59 PM | For the phone number i've been using the same phone number over and over. I've never done it more than 3 times a day, once a week though. |
| Grifter | 07-04-2011 07:07 PM | I set up a gmail on sunday, new ip and cleared cookies/cache but it asked for the phone verification right away - sent it to the 'new' trac fone, didn't have any issues after that. |

Any ideas? | Wierd... I make gmail accounts all the time... I didn't think Google cared how many you have... That's why you can't get decent aliases anymore. :D |
| Melissa1971 | 07-06-2011 09:01 PM | I made a gmail email about a week ago and it didn't ask me for phone verification which I thought was odd |
| sergfro | 07-07-2011 11:24 AM | what is the difference from creating a gmail vs aol, hotmail etc.
seems like aol and hotmail are faster to create |
I jazz it up - aol, yahoo, gmail, few other free e-mails - all seem to work well. Don't really care about the speed of setup. I do know that with gmail, you can avoid image beacons and other linking junk but I never use e-mail to respond - always via eb ay anyhow. |
| biggunn | 07-08-2011 01:46 AM | I always send messages through ebay, and I have not had any problems... Is this not recommended? Quote:

^ thats what I wanted to say but the brain not working today - it got lazy - thanks for explaining what I could not but was thinking in the lazy brain (only an occasional thing).
I wanted to add..... I sometimes reply through gmail but only once I am logged onto the specific windows user and ip changed etc.
The reason I need to send messages through gmal and not the eb system is this once a customer makes a purchase, I get their email. I send them an email direct to let them know about my website store etc. etc. -
If I sent the message through eb, sometimes they check and its not good. | |

All the gmails I have opened over for my friends over the last few months have asked for phone verification
I think you can use the same number about 10 times then it says you have use the number the max amount of times, use another number
Payg sims do the trick - use gmail its good | What in the world? I just stumbled on to this thread. Gmail and Ebay/PayPal are not linked in any way, correct? It should be okay to use the same phone number for text verification then, right? |
| Melissa1971 | 07-08-2011 06:45 PM | Regarding the web beacons, hushmail works too |
| biggunn | 07-11-2011 02:50 AM | So does Yahoo, but you have to enable the feature. Quote:

| biggunn | 07-20-2011 02:57 PM | Gmail will stop accepting your phone after something like 10 to 20 gmail accounts. Then you have to move onto using a prepaid. | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 03:46 AM. | |
