By the way, Walgreens still has them for 9.99.

They will make great Christmas presents!!!! |

| Iwuvcurrency | 08-13-2011 11:06 AM | I was just buying tracfones, and hooking up 2 gv numbers to that number.. But this seems much easier... Is vmobile a min plan or unlimited? And where on the website do you change your number? |
| Giardino | 08-17-2011 08:37 PM | You can go into your user settings and theres a button for it, or if you're lazy you can go into the phone itself and navigate to Settings -> My Information -> Activate and it will ask if you want a new number.
And you have to load at least $10 onto the phone for a 3 month period. |
| Littlemorestealth | 08-18-2011 02:27 AM | Ah dont work in the UK. Know any other quick work arounds for instant mobile numbers? |
| Giardino | 08-18-2011 09:54 PM | Hmm, which prepaid plans currently work and are affordable in the UK?
If you can find one that comes out to around the same price as the phone mentioned here in this thread, you could do the simple g-voice method over and over again. |
| HurricaneHuntr | 08-18-2011 10:39 PM | They are virgin phones, but still... I don't see how having 10 #'s per 24 hours helps if ebay/paypal call to verify a transaction? I understand why HE does it, because he sells accounts. But, we're talking about the guy who is running accounts, each MUST have a working #... Maybe for you it doesn't matter, but for me it does.
edit... I could see this being profitable if you're making accounts and listing and testing to see if the account makes it past mc999 or not... Then, yeah 10 #'s per 24 hours is nice, then just add a good phone # to it that works... But still |
| jbluntz | 08-18-2011 11:25 PM | You can do both, I personally don't need active numbers on most of my accounts, you can keep some active and some non active if you want and when your account, with the active # goes down you can change the number, it's called virsatility. |
| newjerseymax | 08-19-2011 12:07 AM | Is voicemail good enough for eb/pp? Meaning if they get "XXXXX is not in right now please leave a message"? |
| HurricaneHuntr | 08-19-2011 01:18 AM | if they are calling to verify a transaction 9x out of 10 = limit within minutes. I am not gonna bs anyone here, my accounts are risky i don't sell software or cds/dvds but it's still vERO, so i need to be able to answer. That being said, paypal hasn't callled to verify anything in a few months or more.
I guess then the question comes, is it worth it? To lose a account because you didn't verify a phone call? If they never call sure, if they call once every 4 months? No, my account turn over on a typical account looks like around 7 months to a year on a couple that are lasting..Just depends on jackholes... But ebay's standards are stricter then they were a year ago, so the game is changing
Walgreens has these 10$ phones? Where?
Then again, i am not running thousands of dollars daily through my accounts
Just remember... You get too big, and someone big might be getting into you.... if you know what i mean **ahem** |
| HurricaneHuntr | 08-19-2011 03:39 PM | Why do you have so much cash on hand >< You can't be hiding it... i mean you pay taxes, they know you have it... I just leave mine in my bank, nothing above 25k really. Should i be mattressing this stuff? >< |
| jbluntz | 08-20-2011 12:49 AM | Just depends on how swif and skippy you are I guess, if you're the type that always buttons the top button and keeps your shoes shined then yeah you might want to keep it all in the bank. Me I do both, it's good to have a nice stash under your mattress, not a nice neat stack either you gotta just toss is under there, then when you're ready to go out just reach under there and grab a few hundreds out, none of that neat, goody2shoe, paddy whacker stuff = D.. |
| HurricaneHuntr | 08-20-2011 09:37 AM | Found 2 virgin mobiles at walgreens still at 9.99 after doing the math... it's just cheaper to do virigin mobile than tracfone.. and so far less spam calls.
1. tracfone = $20 /90 days virgin $10-90 days. And can change number if it goes down.. but then you must change gvoice forward # if it goes down i guess. No biggie
so yeah, i'm on the hunt today! Gonna pick up at least 3 more i already extended some of my tracfones for the 49.95 1 year. So i'll take the hit on those.
And BTW you can change the tracfone # for free, it's a bit of a pain, but just call and tell them you are moving and you want a new # and they will ask for zipcode and gg new number |
| aking | 10-24-2011 11:08 AM | i just got a Virgin Mobile from Rite Aid, $14.99. They were sold out of the $10 top up cards, I think I can top up online tho. I may stop by Walgreens on the way home tho. |
| jbluntz | 10-24-2011 12:15 PM | Let's give a big round of aplause to Aking  He's doing it and getting it done.. |

| UnderBites08 | 10-24-2011 09:13 PM | If any of you are up north i saw at price chopper two trac phones for 9.99 flip style |
| aking | 10-28-2011 03:01 PM | so I heard they are going to start charging $10 in November to change your phone numbers on those virgin mobile paylo phones? is this true?
That could ad up fast. I guess I can only made 4 accounts for free. May have to switch to another service that offers free phone number change. |
| HurricaneHuntr | 11-03-2011 09:41 PM | New bonus code when you top up... 4102011 adds $10 additional to the $10 top up.. Also if you didn't know... within 30 days of activation $60 will give you 365 days of service. For me, that'd optimal because adding $10 a month is pointless since i never use the phones... I did just top up an account. Although the recurring charge of $15 every 90 days seems like best deal... figure that's 60$ for 360 days |
| mercurial333 | 11-03-2011 11:14 PM | IF purchased in the US, do they work in Canada?
If so which carrier? |

I can not find 1 single reliable news source to back it up.
If this is true, don't you think that you could find it somewhere through Google? |
| jbluntz | 11-10-2011 12:02 AM | Some people reported recieving a text message on their phone talking about a new $10 charge for number change in Nov. but I have yet to find any on mine so looks like it's still just a rumor. |
| unkown5454 | 11-10-2011 04:49 PM | None of my Virgin phones have mentioned this or required $10 this month when I changed all of their numbers. Still FREE. |
| aking | 11-11-2011 10:15 AM | Good. I plan on making some accounts this weekend. |
| HurricaneHuntr | 11-14-2011 11:43 AM | Well I for the text message, I think I'm reliable with information
Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk |
| Sandy D | 11-14-2011 02:29 PM | Next thing is ebay will be buying Virgin mobile.
 |

I bet your grandfathered in. I bought my phones within the last 6 months. I wonder if that has something to do with it. I received the text too |
| cmbhuy | 11-16-2011 01:06 PM | i got the 10 dollar charge text message on my Motorola triumph on the 35$ plan but im still changing numbers for free |
| LoopHole | 11-17-2011 12:11 AM | Keep us updated on the $10 to change number. |
| biggunn | 11-17-2011 01:51 AM | This thread should be sticky'd and changed to "The VirginMobileUSA" thread! :bounce: |
| Gman91189 | 11-21-2011 01:44 AM | Yup 10$ charge for number change for sure! :( |
| unkown5454 | 11-21-2011 02:02 AM | Someone get Branson on the phone immediately. |
That's right - tell him the Big Forum is calling - he just might listen. |
| unkown5454 | 11-22-2011 04:42 AM | He had to sell one of his islands this year I believe. The new $10 charge is probably making up for this lost investment.
Or it's funding his new commercial space shuttle project. Life is rough. |
| biggunn | 11-22-2011 01:03 PM | That's damn stupid. $10 number changes... Guess it's time to go back to callcentric or something.
What's the best and cheapest way to forward a Google voice number to get a verification code? |
| rayraymond1218 | 11-28-2011 12:04 AM | can ebay/paypal still reach you when you change the number? for example you set up an ebay account with 123456789 then after 24hrs you change it to 987654321, can they still reach you with the number 123456789? |
| jbluntz | 11-28-2011 12:12 AM | I don't know, can someone reach you when you change your number? | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 06:03 AM. | |
