| | | livelifewild | 07-11-2011 10:48 PM | If its been SEVERAL years since you used your realy info on a ebay/paypal account.... Say you havent opened an ebay/paypal account with your complete legit information in over 4 or 5 years...maybe longer. Do you think it would be worth a shot at trying to open an account again?
I mean with time should your information be usable again? Or does ebay/paypal believe in once you screw up or break one of their rules GOODBYE FOREVER!!! lol
Anyone know the answer??? |
| expiredpeanutbutter | 07-11-2011 10:51 PM | goodbye forever only because ebay is arrogant Paypal is great and doesn't cause problems for anyone at all |
| livelifewild | 07-11-2011 11:35 PM | Im sorry but I just have to say HA! to the paypal doesnt cause problems for anyone.
I will admit you get trouble with e bay way more often then pp. But you can still get problems with them. And when problems with pp come along you can bet your bottom dollar the hoops that you are going to have to jump through are going to be on fire as well!!
at least with most ebay problems, especially the common beginning ones you can solve rather easily. EXAMPLE, your account was restricted till you call them to verify identity within 48hrs.....call verify (if made up fictitious) easy to pass and get restriction lifted.
Your paypal gets limited and you can get it removed you just may have to find/make 15-20 documents to fax in to show them how good you are/reliable to get them to lift it. |
In your shoes, I would risk it WHILE making 2 stealths to compensate only because pp keeps info FOREVER so I would not expect you to last long. |

| Stigger | 07-12-2011 12:14 PM | i thought this would have been common knowlage.
Its not through choice they keep it that long, its the law. |
| GrannyT | 07-12-2011 12:20 PM | But you only need to keep info for 6 years for HMRC?
:pop2: |
| james169 | 07-12-2011 02:20 PM | When they told me I thought that was a really long tome as any entry or default on your credit file only stays on there for 6 years before it comes off!! |
| Red X | 07-12-2011 02:24 PM | I did it this year, and it works perfectly, didn't wait 7 yrs, I waited 2 yrs. |
| jbluntz | 07-12-2011 03:28 PM | Yeah many people have the same first and last name as long as you use a different address you could do it today even except for ssn of course. |

Ya and I guess the whole people have the same first and last name....different address and such is true. I just always figured if I gotta get the different ip, bank account, phone # that I might as well just use a completely different name. |
| jbluntz | 07-12-2011 04:49 PM | Yeah you would need different ip and bank but if you moved since you got suspended and have a common first and last name. I'm sure you could have an account in your real name and your new adress for selling things around the house and buying, I wouldn't sell any vero on it though and ssn should be removed 7 years. |
| livelifewild | 07-13-2011 01:19 PM | Ya ya, that is true. I have a few things that I can not get in trouble for selling and can make good money on but because of the 10 item limit and not using real verifiable information I can not really sell...so maybe soon I will register an account with all my real info. Start selling that stuff and do that fabulous phone call on raising your limits and discussing your selling strategy/plan.
HAS ANYONE DONE THAT? Called to do the convo on the strategy selling plan to get your limits raised? Curious because I have access to about 300-400 items that are legit and I can make money on (but its that type of category that you need to sell lots to make the profits) cant do that on a limited 10 items a month account.
ALSO OTHER QUESTION:
Its been probably 8-9 years that I used my ss# with ebay or paypal. But about 4 years that ebay got my license faxed to them. Would you say its still ok to start a real account and try to get the limits raised? |

| livelifewild | 07-14-2011 07:42 PM | I do to have legit invoices, so I am assuming it worked? They raised the limits? Was it a decent raise in limits or just to 100? |
| unkown5454 | 07-15-2011 03:05 AM | No, it was like $20,000 and then the next request was fully unlimited. Happened fast when you are selling real sh*t and can prove it. | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 11:09 AM. | |
