Now I'm starting to get aggravated.
 

Hi folks, I am having an ongoing issue with obtaining inventory from China that I need help with. Recently, just over the last 2 weeks, packages have been getting held up in customs. I have had 2 EMS packages and 2 DHL packages held. 1 from each carrier has gotten through. Per what I have read on here I went to the UPS store and paid for a new address using my middle name and splitting up my last name. I recently bought another large order that was sent to my new address via DHL.....

1) The first fishy thing that I noticed is that the package went straight to NYC instead of the Cincinnati hub. The tracking updates say that the package cleared customs but is now old hold? What the heck? I attached an image of the tracking update. Why would this package go straight to NYC? How are they getting flagged right off the bat? Will I receive this item eventually?

2) I am concerned here because, frankly, this is my sole form of income. I need advice on how to get things through and I need it badly.

3) Did I not do an adequate job of changing my address in the first place? What else do I need to do?

I don't mean to sound horrible, but maybe you should try selling non **** stuff if it's your main income. Will make your life 10 times easier!

Don't think I haven't already thought of that lol. I have hired researchers where their only job is to find me non **** stuff to sell. I have had people searching daily over the past 6 months and I still cannot find anything with a decent profit margin. So, if you have any suggestions I am all ears.

There is plenty of stuff you can sell for a profit...its not going to be the same profit margin as the phake stuff but its enough to live on if you sell enough of it. Or not saying I do this but you could get wholesale legit stuff of what you get from china (probably from china as well) and mix in the other .... and you shouldnt have much problems. (by the way I really dont do this but I have a friend who does)

and as far as splitting shipments when you get legit stuff it should not matter. They cant do anything to you....otherwise SPACE the shipments out. Do you have a friend or family member who wouldnt mind receiving a shipment for you? Alternate between your address, your fams, and the ups address you got. If you also alternate the shipping company you shouldnt have any problems. The customs hold is no biggy, I have seen a hold for over TWO weeks. They do eventually release it. Its the SEIZED you gotta worry about! :mod:

who did you hired? you better fire their a** off and do it yourself.

Dont worry relax a little....take deep breaths and just wait.
Like I said I actually had, personally, a package held at customs (pending customs inspection to be exact) for over 2 weeks. They did release it and I got it just fine didnt even look like they opened it.
It is when you look up your tracking and it states SEIZED or something similar that you need to break a sweat. Hope that helps, hang in there, and keep us posted! :pop2:

Will do and thank you. I suppose I am the most worried about a blacklisted address issue because I would hate to miss several shipments that are already enroute.

I've always heard that the San Francisco hub is much more relaxed. Ever consider a mail forwarder on the west coast?

Make sure your suppliers are changing up their shipping agencies and not always using the same one.
