| | | | | oooSMOKYooo | 07-16-2011 08:26 AM | Changed Everything But Still Limitation? Hi Guys,
Been reading the forum for a good while now since my last limitation on my first real account to another i setup whuich was fine untill u/l id docs (not stealth)
Not selling VERO items or anything like that was just limitation on first account due to being overwhelmed with the items i was selling with working ny full time job aswell. Now on my new legit accout i setup 2 months ago which has just been limited/closed waiting on 180 days :(
Didn't want to be photoshpoing id's n such so decided to go the long way round, here is what i did.
What i did on my last recent ebay/pp account was changed my name by deed poll and entered that.
2. Changed address to my friends house pp & ebay
3. Bought 3g dongle for different ip
4. Changed bank details to friends house (diff banc account & card)
5. Created new user account
6. Started selliing slowly
7. Applied for new driving license in new name & address (for id)
8. Bought 3g dongle delivered to mates address so had address id too.
9. Changed my home phone line to diff number
10. Changed all emails
Now everything was running smoothly (The account was verified) untill i u/l my d/l and proof of address, the girl i was on the phone too pushed it to the quick limitation department which usually takes a couple of hours to review but was closed straight away and no joy in appeal either?
Now i can think of 2 mistakes i made were which i used the same listing templates for my listings which i hadn't used since last year so thought would be fine as i have alot of detail in my listing and company info ect so thought this would be ok.
Secondly my mate has a paypal account but dosn't use it as its not yet verified but obviously the same address as mine that i used but didn't think this would be a problem as he's not sold or selling?
Could anyone tell where i went wrong please?
I only want one account that will last and am very tempted to buy an ebay & paypal account off one of the trusted guys off here, if anyone on the UK has bought one and it has lasted over 3 months could you please let me know.
I am continuing to search through the forums as i now beleive i can just slightly change my name/address and date of birth in paypal as it is a one way process for them not two way in what i first beleived!
Surly paypal will pickup on my address change from 53 to 53A?
I have now changed my home number, bank account and got a new modem from virgin as i cant change my ip with virgin modems?
Anyway thanks for any comments in advance!

You need to start a fresh. Also I would not reccommend using friends details for so many reasons. |
| GreenBean | 07-16-2011 08:52 AM | What did you have for breakfast? I didn't see that mentioned
Welcome to the forum as well :yar:
Do a variation of you name, dob BUT have a new address.
The purpose of stealth is to be new. It's some daft thing going around this forum about re-using same name/ address. Not sensible at all
Although you did everything including new kitchen plumbing, you may have moved too much money thro' paypal. Those factorsd I did not noticr  |
| isitworththestress | 07-16-2011 11:59 AM | The one account thing is over with ebay and paypal I'm afraid, it is much less stress if you just have as many accounts as you can make. spreading the load and spreading the threat.
I think the reason most people still wonder on the name and address Greenbean is because so many people have had accounts shut down on one address and other accounts on the same address with the same name not get touched and still work great, as long as they did not have the same phone number card and bank details.
I have seen the same thing happen with my own accounts, so even I wonder about it at times and consider testing the theory now and again But this is ebay, who has the time? |

It was my nicly designed templates that were beating the competition to be honest with videos n such, guess i will just have to lower my price next time and scrap the nice listing.
Was a bit concerned myself about using friends details but he wasn't bothered with being rented accomadation and moving out next year.
Thanks for the info! |

As with the address am i ok with using a PO BOX or virtual address service with Ebay and Paypal as my registered address as i buy alot off ebay and obviusly want post to my door through someone else, don't mind paying for it at all. How would i go about providing ID for this? i guess i would have to photoshop things about a bit then?
Its the ID that has got me with stealth not the initial process of setting things up?
Nope nothing to do with the funds as i never withdrawn any into my bank, just sales went from £50 to £500 per week in about 10 weeks, which is ok i presume?
thanks for the heads up! |

So is address variation out the window then? say my address is 40 ebaysh** street, i could change it to 40A ebaysh** street and so forth?
even get some nice gold coloured door numbers for my house 40A,B,C:lol:
Surly they get ontoyou with this?
Or just use ⊗⊗⊗⊗ or someone else address, my main concern is receiving post from ebay and returns or am i asking too much here?
Thankyou very much anyway! |
| isitworththestress | 07-16-2011 01:12 PM | Simple changes seem to work for most, even getting through the documents check at 1900. I have seen on here it is better to change your post code if your street is long enough.
if you use it make sure you check the address works with a letter to yourself first
I think people keep forgetting that as with most things they do, ebay/paypal tend to go for the cheaper option and end up doing everything half arsed. Their security is no different. |

good point about testing the address though, i do know 2 of the posties that do my rounds anyway so could slip them a tenner so their not confused.:hail:
True true, just want to get it right next time as i spent way too much on jack daniels and coke last time my account got locked:brushteeth:
cheers |

cheers | There's the problem. jack daniels is known to damage accounts LOL.
OK, that spike in sales was a factor in getting a limitation. paypal 'look' at a risk factor and act on that.
Try the letter to self. It's not something I go along with 100%. But then I wear a tin foil hat:pop2: |

Wasn't as such a spike as it only builded up over a good few weeks and i never withdrawn to my bank account, mostly small sales say £90 topline sale!
just got the normal ask for ID bull after about 6 weeks of good sales standing with 100% feedback just like my last legit account which lasted 8 months untill due to my own fault sales were getting over me and had to keep my own job upto scratch leaving ebay to the side, if i had of known now that paypal would of banished me for life i would never of let it slide but its like the old saying "if i knew what i know now"
just like my girlfriend now i spose lol :juggle:
cheers |

cheers | Yep I do it and all but one has gone through the ID with no problem and the other did not, as I was trying something out with an initial instead of a first name.
Seems they have to have a full name for paypal when it goes through the ID check and then you have to deal with more than one ID check from two different sections. It gets complicated for them so they kill the account just to save themselves time. |

Its the address whats getting me, should i just put in my virtual adress provider for sending me goods i have bought off ebay into my paypal address if you get me and photo shop those? or am i asking too much and should i setup a buying account with my true address/variation in (41A) in? which has just given me an idea whilst typing that to setup a diff account on ebay for buying as i do buy alot off ebay and link it to my variation address paypal setup account?
Think im confusing myself now and gonna crack the lid on the jack daniels and have one on Greenbean lol. even my own business i setup was in IT and information laid out to me was a doddle even with the timelines i had but this is getting to me now!
Thanks for your advice you have been a great help and first jd is on you an greenbean lol..
cheers |
| isitworththestress | 07-16-2011 07:19 PM | Now there is another funny bit of info for you
Buying accounts are a lot easier to set up and possibly why most of the scams you hear about are buying scams through ebay and paypal |

I will have alook in the meantime anyway as you have been very helpfull to say the least.
