New user: question about making new account
 

Ok I bought the book. Very informative. I have a couple questions though.

My wife has never had an ebay account. Can I open a new account in her name with a separate bank account card, etc.?
Also when you open a bank account an you give them your real address has anyone had problems with the ebay-paypal address not matching the bank and the bank raising red flags?

Never use other people's real info, not even your wife's. Its asking for problems down the road with taxes, IRS, or who knows what.

Welcome to the forums. As yotano alluded, it would be in your best interest to go completely stealth. What happens if the account goes down and your wife wants to do stuff? It's not a good feeling having anyone "black-listed" out of error...whether or not you're at fault.

2. In general NO - specific banks like ING and Ally have given problems so prob best to avoid.

In respond to #2, I have sometimes used credit unions where I live and never had any kind of problems with them. plus they pay more in interest vs the larger banks.

This was several years ago but I am sure things have not changed that much. On Sunday I am thinking so going to a credit union and opening a few saving accounts cuz I am starting to do or will list more things. I am only just start again.
