2 year old account suspended

Well that day has come where my beloved 2 year account 97% FB has gone down to a MC021 CIT NOTICE.

It says I can appeal but thats prob nonsense.

Can anyone shed light on this? Anyway I can have it reinstated?

ensignia 07-24-2011 10:38 AM

Serious lack of information.

unkown5454 07-24-2011 11:29 AM

MC021 CIT is quite serious. What were you selling and did you have repeat warning of it?

cortex 07-24-2011 12:05 PM

Wasnt selling branded items.
No i didnt have any prior warnings

what other info do u need?

oompaloompa 07-24-2011 12:27 PM

I do not remember if it was mc021 or another mc, but I have had similar wording on a handful of ebay limitations, the goods are only one of many factors, and are not necessarily the problem, there are stealth factors that they notice eg vcc and other discrepancies when we hurry to make and acc and start selling, without acting like a normal ebayer, but that is something us stealthers have to face and overcome. Only you know how you run your account, but I know that the ones I got were insipid, non-risky accs generally, so my theory is its a catch-all for non-specific risky behaviour their bots catch on to, you get a serious email but then they may look at it upon docs review and think, no this guy can pass.

All of which were lifted upon producing docs, dont let their offensive, over the top language worry you, have a go at submitting the stuff, if it does not work, you will have at least tried. I have found ebay limitations fairly easy to lift, its paypal that is hit and miss. Unless they say you are limited with no appeal or for a year or whatever, there is a good chance of lifting.......

Im going to try the live help now...waiting time of 11 minutes :P
I think it may be due to me doing a lot of refunds..i had about 12 in short space of time and 2 resolution centre complaints.
my DSR's are 4.7/ 4.8/ 4.7/ 4.8

My pa y pa l account is still okay - i can withdraw / receive etc.
Ive also had all the limits lifted on it after passing the phone test and submitting the photo ID/utility bill.

Ive not been asked my eb a yto submit any docs though??

Hello Cortex I would appeal to reinstate your eBay account it's worth a try!

cortex 07-24-2011 05:44 PM

I tried that today on live chat...she said she will email me something but she didnt say what it would be about as it comes from a different department. All i was told was to wait 24-48hrs...ill keep you posted. fingers crossed eh! :-\

She said most likely i wudnt b able to sell but may be able to keep it as a buyer account...pfffftt!!!!

stealthmaster 07-24-2011 07:41 PM

It's not that eBay/PayPal are victimizing honest eBay/PayPal sellers because of the ongoing problems, OK I mean the rules are implemented to stop fraud and counterfeit products been sold on eBay. But shouldn't they be some kind of rigorous process they could implement to stop wrongful doing to eBay sellers, I think not! eBay doesn't give a damn about it's long term long lasting eBay sellers and buyers, I mean they will be a lot of eBay sellers who have been suspended and haven't even thought about going back!. I thought I would be one of them but here I am now, Cortex It's just one big merry go round until eBay pushes you off it. I hope you get reinstated my friend good luck!!!

cortex

What does it say in your seller dashboard?

stealthmaster

Unless you are a big company they don't really care, a bit like the government do with the top one percent.

cortex 07-25-2011 03:55 AM

Below Standard :(

isitworththestress 07-25-2011 04:03 AM

Due to what, does it tell you, and does it not give your more info on your account status?

cortex 07-26-2011 05:38 AM

Im not sure exactly why - there isnt anything too specific.
I spoke with online support who told me i will receive an email in 24-48h but ive not got anything from them yet.
I think it may be time to move on :-(
Sad times but lessons have been learned on how to overcome this in future

GreenBean 07-26-2011 06:11 AM

Your answer is in front of you:

97% FB has gone down to a MC021 CIT NOTICE.

Feedback needs to be at least 98.(something) SO what has been happening has finally annoyed ebay.

Was there nothing you could have done to prevent the refunds, claims? % wise it was damaging to you.

Any way you can grease up a buyer to revise their feedback? Have you been active to get Fb from all buyers>

cortex 07-26-2011 06:22 AM

I didnt know ebayers could revise ther feedback else I certainly would have got eh grease out by the gallon! I'll have to work out how feedback can be revised and then ill tell my customers how to do it.

Didnt know ebay kept track of the number of refunds i do either. On that product my refund rate was 1 in 13 sales..dunno if thats a high/low average?

I was thinking that if i were to get a neg in the future, I would lay low on that account and sell cheap items instead of my usual stock to bring my FB up to 98%+

I dont always ask FBV from buyers as i read on here that its not a good idea?!?

oompaloompa 07-27-2011 03:34 AM

search the feedback revision form under help...promise a gift or partial refund......

depends how desperate you are, work on the negs as you have nothing to lose.....as for the abstainers, a pretty please might get you one or two...

yes thats what I have had to do one one acc, got an unfair nasty neg, so I am going to drown it in good feedback with cheap stuff for next 6 months, its not to save acc as it was only one neg , however it peed me off and makes me look bad....
