Reselling items bought on eBay
 

Just a quick one:

If buying items on eBay solely for the purposes of reselling them is not against the rules, then why is it frowned upon?

i don't think ebay frown upons this. they don't like people dropshipping

if you have one account buying and making other stealth accounts and sell them.. how would they know...

its fine, why wouldnt it be.....

I used to buy Wii's from eBay and then mod them and re sold them on the same account with no problem for about 18 months, when they asked for my proof of invoices / inventory I just printed a load of my PayPal receipts off and emailed these to them and said to just look at my account and they could see that I had bought well over 100 of them and it was all fine

So from my experience i've not had a problem buying and then re selling with the same account

Like stated, dropshipping is frowned upon but buying to resell is a safe way of working for sure.

Thanks. I'd just heard conflicting things. Some are for it, some are against it.

Does the IP address matter? Would you have to create a completely new stealth eBay and PayPal? Or could you just keep one eBay for selling, create another for buying and use one PayPal account for both (all with the same name/address info on all 3 accounts)?
