How to open multiple Ebay accounts and make them LAST?

Ok, so I have fell to the selling limits, and have realized that even with me only looking to sell 30 to 40 items a month or so, I cannot do it with one single stealth account. Now I am a veteran stealther, and have been doing this for over 4+ years now and know the tricks of the trade. However, the stealth guide I am using is from 2007, and a ridiculous amount has changed since then.

Can anyone give me some advice as to how to open 2 or 3 more Ebay and PayPal accounts so I can have 3 or 4 going simultaneously? I know how to create the accounts, but my question is how do I sell when the IP Address is the same? Like I change my IP address, clear cookies, do all that nonsense to create one account, then I do it over and over again for the others, and it will probably work.

But my question is I cannot simply change my IP Address every time I sign into Ebay from one account, so after they are all created on different IP's, I will change it again and use one IP address to list items. Maybe if someone could give me a walkthrough I would appreciate it. I am not new to this stuff, so I will understand for the most part what you are talking about. I am just extremely frustrated right now because this 10 item limit is worthless and basically makes it pointless to sell on Ebay. I am not looking to make a business out of this, but even just trying to sell off collectible items is impossible with that kind of a limit. I figure if I had 4 accounts running and I could sell 40 a month I would be fine, but I am not sure how to go about doing it so that they are not linked.

That or any advice to creating accounts that do NOT have the selling limit on it I will not need to bother creating more accounts. Again, I only need to sell maybe 30 or 40 lower priced items a month. I do not sell very high valued items, so selling 10 $10.00 items isn't even worth my time.

Again, I am a vet here, and do not need the advice of "Go buy the stealth book". Trust me, I have read it cover to cover many times. And I have just spent the past 4 hours searching these forums trying to figure out how to do it. Problem is some of the posts go back to to 2008, and so much has changed since then they are not accurate. Need one of the big mods here help me out if it isn't too much trouble. That and I promise with the first $40.00 in Paypal I make I will buy a subscription to the private forums. Or you can private message me as well. Thanks!

Go buy the book... LOL.. Kidding.

Yeah ,you have to change the IP and all that in between each account and log it religiously in a log book.

That isnt covering everything you asked but that is part of it.

Shadowmoe7 08-02-2011 11:30 PM

yeah basically you need to switch your ip before logging in to another stealth account

vigilantex69 08-02-2011 11:46 PM

So wait, change your IP address every time you log into your Ebay or Paypal account? How on Earth do I do that? I have to mess around with my router every time I change it just to make a new account. It is a HUGE hassle, and there is no way I could change it every time I login and out daily. And doesn't that raise flags?

Alps_a somewhatlegend 08-03-2011 02:15 AM

Hi. Ideally you are going to need a setup where you can change your ip easily, especially if you are running multi accounts and are logging in and out many times daily.

Logging in and out with different IPs will not raise flags so you will be fine on that score.

I can only recommend changing your setup to one where you can easily change your IP address.

rsot 08-03-2011 10:20 AM

If you are overly concerned about IP changing, then just make different user accounts and go from there -experiment without changing IP. I have tried this lightly (and lazily) and it CAN work - a lot depends on what you sell, etc.

For me, however, I still deal with dial-up AND other dynamic IP when needed so I have learned to be patient with changing.

Alps_a somewhatlegend 08-03-2011 04:06 PM

^ yes I agree with you. You have to know what you are doing to play that game though - me and you are smart so we OK :) %

GTB 08-03-2011 04:19 PM

just buy a dongle for the ip,saves alot of hassle

and use separate user accounts

it is that easy

just make sure you are stealthy with the info you set the accounts up with

dongles are a life saver if your internet connection is static

rsot 08-03-2011 04:19 PM

Me smart? Ha far from it Alps but I appreciate the confidence =)

ass11078 08-03-2011 05:12 PM

Short story invest in a tmobile web connect that will switch ips for everytime you log on is easy and saves time and headache.

vigilantex69 08-03-2011 06:36 PM

What on earth is a dongle.

vigilantex69 08-03-2011 06:40 PM

This is getting ridiculously complicated for me. I do not know how to configure an IP address that changes every time. I have AT&T internet, and I change my IP by going through a wireless router. However, in order to change it I have to go into the router settings and mess with it. Its a hassle...It does not switch IP every time I log on, it uses the same one, but if I want to change it I can, but like I said it is a pain process that would be impossible to do every time you log in and out of Ebay.

SweetPea 08-03-2011 06:45 PM

It is a usb modem that you plug into your pc. It changes your IP address everytime you log on.

Iwuvcurrency 08-03-2011 07:00 PM

I change my IP everytime I log in and out of each account! A hassell, yes..!! Is there an easier way!? I also keep a log of every ip each account logs on with....

SweetPea 08-03-2011 07:12 PM

It does take time and patience. One slip and you are done. Different people have different ways of operating. Some have dial-up. Some do not change IP, but change users every time. Read the forums. They are full of this kind of info...

KingRay 08-03-2011 07:52 PM

If you have AT&T dsl you can just unplug your modem and plug it back in. You will get a different IP every time. That is actually one of the easiest to deal with out of all the options.

Try that and go to the IP burger to see.

Good luck.

Iwuvcurrency 08-03-2011 08:12 PM

How does everyone keep track of there ip address's? I just write mine down on paper for each account....

SweetPea 08-03-2011 08:15 PM

Read the stealth guide and use a spreadsheet.

KingRay 08-03-2011 08:15 PM

Just keep a log book or do some sort of excel file. Someone on here made a file that you can log the IP and it will check the long list you have already inputed for matches. That way you wont ever get one that you have already gotten in the past. which does happen on occasion..

i save my ip`s on my android fone...

e.g NAME/ip4gtb
NUMBER/87.557.4847.474
and save to the email for that account

so when i change accounts i dial in the new ip address to my fone and if it has been used before it will show which account it was used for,if it has not been used i will add it under the account im going to use it for

i also have linked all my eb/pp email addresses to my fone...so anytime i receive a eb/pp msg i get it to my fone

so i answer in double quick time

this saving ip method is by no means flawless,as you probably already thought,i could lose my fone or run out of space/storage

but it does save time looking through ip`s on a bit of paper:thumb:

As long a I am now on a router and workng from just a modem, all i have to do in unplug the power from the modem and wait 5 - 10 minutes . When I power back up I have a new IP#. No big deal.

vigilantex69 08-04-2011 09:25 AM

^ I am going to unplug the wireless router and hook directly up to the modem today to see if it works and changes.

HurricaneHuntr 08-04-2011 09:28 AM

i would slit my wrists having to wait 5-10 mins . If you are in this to make money. Invest in a wireless access card, or tether to your phone... and switch ips by turning airplane mode on/off

Otherwise you're just putting yourself through hell... Hell it's hard enough just making an account that will stick now...

xdirc 08-04-2011 12:29 PM

I keep my ip address and important details right on the desktop in a .txt file of each account. I'm a VMWare user and it comes in handy.

rsot 08-04-2011 01:55 PM

Now I won't say that I'm as wise as other members here but I have operated a long time without noting IP and trying to keep same IP but I do use new user accounts on windows for each account. Works ok so far.

ShadyOne 08-04-2011 02:22 PM

My tip for opening multiple eBay/PayPal accounts is to store all account details. I have many eBay accounts and store account information for each one within an excel spreadsheet. Very effective method.

I do use different IP addresses and user accounts for each different eBay account. the key to operating multiple accounts is to seperate them and keep them seperated.

Same, i don't log my ips... it changes every time with the phone, what are they going to do ? Suspend every user who logs on ebay with their mobile devices?

Alps_a somewhatlegend 08-04-2011 05:01 PM

I made myself a program that auto updates my excel spreadsheet with a double click of the mouse.

Check out my demo vid. It is very handy for my 25+ user setup and saves lots of time

demo vid

I have actually updated my program so now, with a double click of the mouse, it resets my ip, checks and logs it and then opens my firefox with 3 tabs (gmail, pp, eb) with all passwords filled in, ready to go - pukka pies :)

vigilantex69 08-04-2011 09:20 PM

I am going to give a couple of accounts a try I think. If it fails, so be it and I will be done with Ebay forever until someone figures out how to get around the selling limit. Here are a couple of more questions.

Do you use a completely ⊗⊗⊗⊗ name?
Completely ⊗⊗⊗⊗ address?
All ⊗⊗⊗⊗ info when creating a new account?

I am asking alot of questions because I am going to log my experience creating these new accounts and see if I can somehow figure out to how get around the selling limit.

:amen: I do just like you and to change IP im going in to network connection and change my network address and than I need to wait a couple of minutes and I'm getting a NEW ip.

Hey, MR GTB could you explain me more about method you are using with android phone ?

GTB 08-05-2011 11:28 AM

^^ no worries^^

first, for example...download gmail app from the android market, sync the eb/pp email address to your phone,

then when you get a new ip,dial it in your fone as if you are adding someones number,

e.g name:ip4gtb@gmail number:141.782.23.90
name:ip4stealth1 number:324:575:767

when it asks where you want to save it,e.g sim, phone etc, save it in the email account of which is used for that eb/pp you will be loggin into,

then whenever you change ip address, type in the new one,and if it has been used before it will show you which profile it was used for,

e.g dial 141.782.23.90 it will show the name it belongs to ip4gtb@gmail,

just a quick simplified way, but,if you lose your fone your fooked

hope this helps:)

winstons 08-05-2011 01:42 PM

^^^^^^^^^^^^

I wanted to buy new phone long time ago, I was planning to buy some **** but know I guess I will buy android :)

Could you suggest me what phone should I buy ?

GTB 08-05-2011 01:46 PM

google compare android mobile phones

find a site and have a look

it depends on how much money you want to spend, some cost a fortune and some are cheap and cheerfull

but if you want quality you will have to pay for it,unless you can pick up a bargain somewhere

good luck

p.s htc desire,quality android phone:)

The guide I am using from 2007 does say that name and address don't matter. But as I said in the original post the guide I am using is almost worthless right now. Hell it says Simon Gift Accounts are the #1 VCC. 90% of it is outdated to not matter anymore. So again, going to my question do you use ⊗⊗⊗⊗ everything? If it is true that they are asking questions to verify it wouldn't be to a benefit to use completely ⊗⊗⊗⊗ info. The guide also has NO mention of any type of selling limits.

making acc is easily, not linking quite easy, it becomes a habit..........
making it last, well lower volumes and risks, build feedback, ship promptly, avoid dropshipping, legit items........

logging ips, well whilst its recommended, its going to get repeated, but if its a broad range then that could be in several months I mean that is different to same ip on seperate accs on same day - it cannot make any difference surely, its too haphazard a way of linking for them. think about it, if someone else gets your ip that you used 2 months ago, it does not link him to you even if he or you are suspended, it just doesnt or it would be happening all over the world right now........cookies and flash objects link, as that pts you at scene of crime for sure, or at least maybe your unfortunate roomate too...

newjerseymax 08-05-2011 03:15 PM

I use net zero dial-up and it only uses 10-20 IP addresses. Went through 5 different states recently and used the local numbers again to connect and I was surprised that in every state the same 10-20 IP addresses appeared. So im pretty sure they cant suspend everyone on netzero that basically shares this set of IP.

Im going to get the dongle next week. However when power went out last night for several hours, I was only one with internet access.....lol

I'm back!!! Bought a subscription...

Anyways is it not just a huge pain having 5 accounts that can only sell 10 items a piece? I don't honestly see how you can get the selling limits upped on a stealth account....

It only seems like a pain. Once you get the hang of it, it's very easy.

Your limits won't raise past 10 items until your accounts are at least 90 days old (from the date of your first sold item). You can't have any bad marks or feedback either. Also, I have accounts that are well past 100 days old and still have the 10 item limit.... Welcome to ebay stealth. :pop2:
