Greendot maximum # of cards?
 

I could've sworn (for amazon) that greendot didnt have a limit as to how many cards you could apply for. Now when I try to apply for my fourth card, it gives me this:

We're sorry. We cannot approve your application. The maximum limit of active cards associated with your personal information has been reached. If you have questions regarding your existing cards please call the customer service number at 1-866-795-7597.


WTF?!

I know that there is a limit, but it may differ depending on the situation. I think I read on here that someone had like 7-8 Greendot cards.

I have 2 right now and the last one I got was like a year ago. Planning on getting another one this week.

It may depend on how many you apply for in a certian amount of time. Like if you try to get 4 in a short period of time it may throw up a red flag.

I applied for 2 in the same day like a few months ago but I havent since then =/ maybe I should call and explain?

3 is the limit but they'll eventually close you down once you start receiving too much money, like they did me, they don't like people that make money.

what did you do instead?

I've got BOA so I'm good, would have prefferred to stick with greendot for paypal use but whatever.

yeah i dont know if it works or not but i had my greendot closed then i used walmart money which is just like greendot so u might be able to open 3-4 of them as well.

yeah greendot dosent like lots of money put on the card and they dont like u loading lots of money packs. they are pretty crappy

I had 3 greendots and 3 walmarts, the walmart ones got closed first and they said any of their partner cards (greendot) would be closed as well,

it was fun while it lasted, I was able to get at least well over 20k out of all the cards combined, the walmart one got blocked when I started withdrawing like $1,000 + per day,

they didn't like that too much, that was too much for them, didn't resemble a kid working at Mcd's I guess

But if you resemble a kid working at Mcd's, as far as your ebay sales go then greendot just might work for you.

i always go to walgreens and pick up moneypacks to reload my paypal accounts,so far i reloaded about 6 or 7 times and had no probs at all,you think theres another way i can do this without paying the 5$ fee all the time?

So many good alternatives greendot should be a back up really

3 is the limit online if you order and in store its 10 the limit so combined you can have 13. That's what I have with them, but of course im not withdrawing 1k per day. Maybe 1k per month yea.
