Default A question about filing a dispute for payment sent as "Payment Owed"

Can I dispute a payment sent to a merchant as payment owed instead of payment for goods?

I paid a seller a large amount as payment owed because the seller said he wanted an exact amount of money for his item without having the PP fee deducted.

That was the only way because I end up paying the fee thru that option.

Now the seller sent nothing and I want to file an INR, is there a chance of me winning it?

Bah, might be difficult.

paypal go a bit postal with this. They so hate losing their fees.

Have you anything, like emails etc, of the request?

More than likely the seller might have done this B4. Might have a record.
Do you know anything of the seller?

Yes I do have the emails of seller stating that he doesnt want to be charged fees and I should send the payment as money owed.

I didnt even know that I would'nt have the same protection.

Dont know much about the seller, it was my first transaction.

I would jump to a chargeback if possible. It seems like the most reasonable and convenient method at the moment.

By chargeback you mean call the visa company and ask them for a charge back?

If you paid by credit card, yes.
