Using dial up to gain a foreign IP
 

Could someone please explain to me how I'd go about using a dail up connection to get a foreign IP address? It says in the stealth guide this can be done, but doesn't go into any detail.
For example, if I had a US eBay and Paypal account but I wanted to access it from here in the UK, I'd want my IP address to be US.
I'd rather stay away from VPNs and VPSs unless I have no other choice.
Also, would I incur large phone bills as I guess you'd have to dial in on a US number, so again I guess that would mean international call charges? Or could I sign up to a US ISP and only be charged their monthly rates?

OB1 UK Star Wars buddy.... I cant give too much away for many reasons but this is all I can say and it's a bit too much info, but hey, the sun is a shning......

Payg sim card... the ones that do cheap int. calls... chuck sim in smart phone.... link up computer via bluetooth/usb/modem settings/wifi/etc.... and wont cost more than a pint of larger.

Slow as F..... but once you are organised, just go on to sort out what you need to.. this is the cheapie way of doing it (my cuppa tea).

Also found an app for the iPhone for cheap int calls, presume that'll work in the same way? Might be worth having a look at

^ have not looked into that one but it sounds like the same thing. If using, make sure to check your real external (WAN) ip through ipburger.com - just to be sure.
