Registering Domain names in Stealth names

Any advise anyone?

Not quite sure what you're looking for. But.. Only thing that comes to me with me is probably the most obvious.

If you're gonna make a website selling VeRo items, then yes use stealth names. Use a stealth paypal, prepaid visa, or whatever. But Im sure YOU already know that GT. Maybe Im just not understand exactly what the question is.

But I'm sure there are people that register a domain and hosting under their real info and sell VeRo items. The site, products, etc can be reported to the real manufacturer just as easily as it can on eB ay or Ama zon. Even I am guilty for being an idiot and do this. At the same time I was selling on EB and AM with my personal account, VeRo items at that, I registered a domain and hosting to set up a store.. But... Soon as those accounts got suspended, having to wait 90 for Amazon and doing some reading here and search my favorite website: Google, I decided to hell with that. I backed up my files from the hosting provider, then deleted the site.

Its so easy to get the domain owners info by using AllWhois.com or similar sites to lookup domain registration info. Even if you buy the domain privacy information, all the real rights owner has to do is contact the privacy company and then they still get your info. Sooo.. Therefore, its still best to be stealth. Do everything with the domain and hosting isp as you would with any other stealth mode. The great thing about domain and hosting providers is I dont think they really monitor the ips. Cause I have logged into mine for many different ips, from different states, even countries, and never any problems. Even if the isp contacted me about the different ips, I would just simply tell them that I did allow those people, gave them the login details. Because they are apart of the development team, which can be the graphics person, the coder, designer, security specialist, etc. Which these are valid reasons for different ips anyway. Most sites dont have just 1 person that does everything.

Thanks for that - it's not about VERO.

I'm trying different things. I have a stealth address that is a currently empty building. I cannot get access to it and don't particularly want to. But I want to register a domain name on it so that I can get a 'paid for' email address that doesn't come back to me.

I'm wondering if this would have any implications

No, it would not cause any implications or complications. They rarely send out any mail. I have owned some of my personal domains through GoDaddy for nearly a year. I think I did get something in the mail at first, after about a month just welcoming me to GoDaddy. And every now and then, every 4 or 5 months or so i get something talking about a special they have going on. But majority of it is via email. But, I have owned stealth domains in the past, also through GoDaddy and it never caused any problems. The person that actually gets the mail, probably opens it, is like wtf? and throws it in the trash.

It is againt the terms to have "out of date" information and if they attempt to contact you and you do not respond they will terminate your account without notice. However I have owned many domains and have never been contacted in any way other than email.

I also have registered dozens of domains with totally bogus details and as long as you do not get any complaints to your provider (i.e through sending spam or hosting illegal material) and pay your bills they will have no reason to contact you. I'm guessing you just want a professional email address linked to your paypal that doesnt show your real details through a whois search. If that is the case - I say go ahead.

Any suggestions as to which companies to use? I don't want any physical mail

PM if necessary - I appreciate your help

Domain hosters never send you physical mail. However, having your "real" information attached to your domain is required by ICANN. For company, it doesn't matter which one you pick, just go whichever offers the lowest price for your domain. Lots of webhosts even register a domain for you for free if you sign up for their webhosting services.

I personally went through godaddy for my site - signed up for electronic billing/correspondence/etc and have not gotten a piece of physical mail in the 2 years I've owned the site. At least US based no mail that is : )

You can register your domain name with internet.bs using any contact information/details you want, but make sure you host it on asian(Chinese or HK) servers, they dont have any spam laws so they wont take your website down even if you sell >Beep<. :sly:
