Too much Money ,too soon ! DIE?
 

I got my new paypal account registered for about 1 week, I received money from my other paypal account around 4k, I withdrew about 3k(the second day) ,then account limited! I followed the step ,I handed over my proof of address, photo Id and all other documents ,after 1 day , they told me my account got potential risk, then they close it !
No reasons , need help ! :hail:

Why on earth would you withdraw that much that quick when many post here state to withdraw small amounts spread out over a period of time?

Then you sent it from "another" pp account to this one.

Red flags all over the place.

careless this time, but can I still return the money to my other account , other wise, I have to wait 180 days !

You can try to return to other account - you might have to call up pa yp al and have them do it manually.

I have a brand new suggestion for this board.

Every new member should be encouraged to either create or buy an account from one of our sellers and they need to run through the first account using the testing and trial and error method that so many of us have done.

Not meaning to be rude but so many newbies are doing some of the dumbest things that are extremely basic and posted daily here and then come back and ask WHAT HAPPENED!

To all newbies:

BEFORE you make any moves you need to search this board to see if your question has already been answered. Betting at some time it already has.

BEFORE you withdraw, change, modify, sell or do anything with your eb or pp account always find the answers BEFORE you pull the trigger.

This poster probably just lost 4k for not doing their research and it could have been prevented if they would have not pulled the trigger without finding out first.

We all learn something new every single day, even the vets here do but if we can prevent someone from making this kind of mistake by asking them all to either search first or use an account to test these things for the learning.

Everyone has been pretty harsh on you with regards to this - including myself.

Don't take it to heart :)

Personally, I was shocked you did this, hence my harsh post.

At least now you know not to do this again - we all learn new things here and there.

@Bin4Ry - from what I understood, the OTHER account is not limited - might as well make a run at trying to keep the money from being tied up. True the other account MAY become limited but can't hurt to try...

Some people I am finding get greedy and have that "I gotta have it now" mentality and it always comes back to bite them.

If they were smart enough to get this kind of cash in the account in the first place then surely they are smart enough to learn the ropes.

Also do NOT Forget that others are outright Spineless Thieves that are looking to make a Quick "Getaway"

Paypal is good for as much as you want it to be - you just need to approach it in a professional manner and think outside the box instead of just getting your hands on the money - stroke them properly and they purr

I used to stay in Auckland, but now i'm in china for business . I was in hurry because I need the cash to take overstocks from a factory, I miss it finally anyway, and got my account closed,Money frozen ! :doh: Too rough, I admit !Have been thinking of my mistake these days , a good lesson for my life !

I've found if I build it up slowly and leave a couple of grand in there my problems go away. I was having problems with pending payments a short while ago but now I draw down in excess of (£+) every day with no problems

2nd that. I always keep funds with them as a guard against chargebacks and disputes in general. It's a drop in the bucket in the big picture because yeah, they might freeze me at any time but even if it buys me just a little bit of credit with them over the course of months, years, and more.... it's more than worth it.

When my real account got limited I had £3,000 in it. The PayPal guy told me on the phone that it really doesn't matter how much you leave in the account and usually PayPal don't take any notice of it, unless it's linked to possible fraudulent activity. He said that 95% of people withdrew payments instantly, and if they started limiting people for withdrawing too quickly or for having a 0 balance, there'd be no one left!

On the other hand, they do have 21 day payment holds though.

Yeah, I don't mean credit just as in... "well you let us earn interest on your funds for virtually nothing, so we'll just ignore the fact that you're selling grey market goods..." but 'credit' as in you always have funds on hand to end disputes right away with the refund option without getting caught out in a situation where they have to try to return the funds to the customer by doing an ACH from your bank -and worse yet getting a rejected ACH request while doing so- or having to charge it to the card you have on file. I might get a dozen disputes a year, but it never gets to a stage where a human would see that (unless they do random visual audits) because it gets closed the same day (if not within a few minutes or a few hours) because I always have funds ready to do refunds right away. I'd be more than happy to do a refund every single day if it means the other 49 transactions go through without a hitch.

Intuitively speaking though, if it's not just a computer acting on how many flags an account has and there is an actual human element involved, I'd still tend to think that larger balance accounts would be less likely to be shut down (and yeah, I know there are thousands of stories out there of folks getting shut down regardless.... but those stories also tend to opt out of sharing the other mitigating factors that may be involved... like opening a 5th account under the name of Michael Jackson, an SSN of 123-45-6789, or openly selling 100 copies of Scarface on DVD every single day, etc) than fresh unseasoned low balance accounts. It's just the same underlying logic that is at the core of most interest earning institutions. They don't want their whales to go somewhere else.

Good news, I got my account restore to normal, 12K released ! Hard time for past 2 weeks !Just want to share with yr guys, it's better to call and communicate with PP, it's helpful!

Glad it worked out.. hope we wont see this thread being updated becausee you did the same thing... every1 makes mistakes even stupid ones like these.. but LEARN and RESEARCH!
THen REseach some more.. then right when you think you know it all like the back of your hand.... research some more then some more and more again
