Private or Business for longegivity
Hello guys and girls....
First thread but need some clarification: I have read the forums for about 3 months now and have basically understood what needs to be done. The only thing I am concerned about is the selling limits and limitations dished out by paypal..... so I have two scenarios that need your advice on?
Stealth Ebay Scenario 1...
1) Purchase New/Used PC - Reformat it keep it clean
2) Open new email add
3) Use an address I have access to or use virtual address company
4) New internet ip - most likely will use 3G connection (Three Mobile)
5) Create Ebay + Paypal Account for new add, using new name and Virtual Address
6) New Phone Number
7) Lift selling allowances with VCC
8) Use new Bank account
Now the above would be a brand new ebay account with a name variation, new address, new IP, etc...... The only thing I worry about is Limitations occurring at a later date from PayPal specially when they ask for photographic ID (I remember sending my Driving Licence to ebay about 5 years ago after selling high value items Laptops, PC's I Built Etc), Also the problem with only having to sell 10 items per month for a few months is a disadvantage, I understand that I could open up 5 new accounts and run 10 items across the board so have 50 items on sale within a month, but I understand that for each ebay name, will mean new pictures, new descriptions, new font, new html layout etc..... So this leads me to scenario 2.. Same as above but a few changes....
Stealth Ebay Scenario 2

5) Create a Company Name via Companies House
6) Open Business Bank Account
5) Create Ebay + Paypal Account for Company, using Company name and Virtual Address
6) New Phone Number
7) Lift selling allowances with Credit Card / Debit card of company's name....
8) Use Business Bank account
As above, Open a Business account with a bank and hold it all on a virtual address. I believe you can list upto 100 items with a business ebay account but will obviously start slowly.... maybe 10 items first month, 20 second month and so on.... I understand the implications with Tax and so forth and will stay above board with this and supply my accounts to HMRC when needed.
I just need to know are there differences with Paypal on business accounts, the above business idea will be done in partnership with my father as I have mentioned above Ebay already have my driving license ID. My father is also registered as self employed so will not cause problems with HMRC where as I am in PAYE Slavery!
