More than 1 ebay account

I have always worked on the basis of i ebay account and 1 paypal account per set of details but I find myself in a situation whereby I need rather urgently an account that has no limits.

If I use exactly the same details as one of my PS account with a new VCC can I realistically open a selling account that will have no limits. I should say that I do not sell VERO or ⊗⊗⊗⊗ or high risk.

This isn't something I particularly want to do but I need an account that's free of selling limits for the run up to Christmas.

Does anyone have actual rather than anecdotal experience with this?

I have ACTUAL evidence of working multiple eb ay accounts (even max allowed)
to 1 pa yp al GTran - recent experience too.

The dilemma is that perhaps (MAYBE) they will impose restrictions on you as you open more accounts unless your primary eb ay is ROCK SOLID (even then, you never know with eb ay)...that's a choice you have to make.

I have experimented with various models on this. Few combos have kept going with no limits - some have gone for a while then bam! "You are associated with so and so account (NO DUH) - therefore, we are placing XYZ limit on you and re-evaluating in 90 days ha.

Of course, my operations and experimentation is North Am-based so....if you want more details, shrug PM

Thanks for that LJ - I'm now in a quandry because I cannot afford to put the primary account at risk

Hmmmm.:suspicious:

Hi,

I have 2 accounts to 1 pap pal running just fine. I have not run into either of them causing each other trouble. There set up using the same details at the same address etc. All is the same apart from the email.

Ive had this for about 3 months and the 2nd account brought in £3k last month without any problems from e bay or pap pal

Hope this helps

Thanks Dazza - it does

I understand your situation GT but I just wanted to ask, why do you need a new account "free of selling limits", when you already have a primary account presumably with no limits?

I also noticed you saying that, if you opened an new account with the exact same details...would you have no limits. Well again, my question would be, what is wrong with the current account that has no limits?

I'm only trying to get your behind your madness. Your way of thinking :)

Then this is opening the potential for problems.

Ideally the 2 ebay to one paypal scenario works best when both accounts are created together. If you search my posts, I have mentioned this before.

On a TRS/powerseller account there's more scope. :pop2:

Since ebay implemented selling limits, some accounts have been flagged when added 'new' to a good standing primary account. UK accounts of ours got flagged. From dealing with the matter it is the problem of having to talk to ebay staffers who do not understand the rules of ebay. Not insurmountable though.

I understand wanting to be prepared for Christmas, but it would have been preferable to have done this in August, or certainly mid-Septmber. Those pesky parameters are changing again and that is co-incidental to sellers getting ready for holiday business. ebay are waiting.

My first thought GT, was to maybe try contacting an account seller that you know and asking them if they could help you out for now and you could possibly repay them with a few accounts in the future, or something along them lines.

But GB has you, about being prepared and all that ;)
