Question!

I have a few questions ... If I don't have any bids on my listing yet, after how long can I still revise my TITLE? Is it 12 hours or 24 hours? Also when I revise my TITLE will eBay REVIEW it manually?

Thank you!

GrannyT 10-01-2011 03:22 PM

No they wont review it manually - but you are playing a very very dangerous game

Gangster878 10-01-2011 03:31 PM

Ebay Wont REVIEW it Manually But Its a Risk Changeing It You Can Do It Its All Up To You

Hrad 10-01-2011 04:51 PM

Why is it a risk to change the title?

GrannyT 10-01-2011 05:08 PM

Because I'm thinking you are going to change a non Vero item into a vero item - even if you are not there is no legitimate reason for changing the name - ergo - you are playing a dangerous game

I still don't understand what is dangerous about it?

stanislav 10-01-2011 05:18 PM

And no one still told me if it's 12 hours or 24 hours to change your title.

cortex 10-01-2011 05:21 PM

why dont you just cancel the listing and make a new ammended listing?

I don't think you understand what I am trying to do here. I am trying to change non vero item into vero. I still don't understand what's so dangerous about it.

title revision can trigger a flag. ebay will say oh why is this being done? If we here can guess why, then so can ebay (monkeys or not ;))

12 hours is the time 'they' say. Bit dont take it as gospel

below is from ebay uk but it should be pretty much the same.
Restrictions on revising listings

stanislav 10-01-2011 06:26 PM

Thank you so much Greenbean for coming to my rescue here LOL! So you are saying that it CAN trigger a flag but not always does?

GreenBean 10-01-2011 06:30 PM

Because of what the subject matter is, it will be flagged....

Sadly it's a trick known to them that sellers make a sweet little INNOCENT listing. Wait a couple of hours, then change it. ebay awaits with a dagger to kill. Their bots are awaiting :amen:

stanislav 10-01-2011 06:44 PM

Hahaha Greenbeen you are amazing! Thank you!

stanislav 10-01-2011 06:55 PM

This thread shouldn't be public anymore! Hide it LOL!

cortex 10-01-2011 08:06 PM

i dont deal with vero so i have no idea what youre all talking about.
care to explain please?...

GreenBean 10-01-2011 08:10 PM

Que?

It's a known trick that special items get taken down if listed at once.

Sellers create, in effect, dummy listings to get traffic. They wait, then change the wording to the true description of that special item with the intention of bypassing ebay's bots :spy:

I hope you did not know that and get my explanation.

If you did know that, then I am going to flog you, you brat :juggle:

stanislav 10-01-2011 08:36 PM

Hahahah my lovely Greebean is feisty today ! :)

stanislav 10-01-2011 08:38 PM

So Greeny! Does it mean that there is no way to bypass VERO team :) even if you revise it last moment? :)

waterproof 10-01-2011 11:21 PM

And YES it is dangerous because if you change your title from a non-VERO to a VERO item then you screw yourself (pardon my choice of words), apposed to ebay/pp having their way with you! ha I know because I have learned from my own mistakes!
In most cases, you can learn from your mistakes...or find yourself asking questions about "what happened" here on the Forum.

Good Luck!

I am not sure what I have to lose though? I will try this tonight and will let you know what happened LOL!!!!

GreenBean 10-02-2011 02:25 AM

OK, this could be interesting.....

an amendment being done out of regular business hours might fly: but only for 12--24 hours. Could trigger MC019 takedown.

Let's wait :pop2:
