put this in Uk section, as it could get lost in everything else.....

gone thru 2 credit report companies equifax, cant remember other, that say free trial, and it asks for card (fine have a temp one and I will clear out money anyway..) and I am getting this c rap about call us, instead of getting an instant report.

I have paid a fiver before and got an instant one, but are these free ones just a con?

They changed the 'free' bit.

Use martin's forum if you want the up to date info on the best way to get a credit report.

Mind, if you are being stealth, it is advisable to check them on a regular basis

yes you can get a statutory CR for £2, not bad - free was better deal but whatever I will have to work for an extra 0.00001 of a mili-second to earn it....

Im not sure it is in the UK but I like credit Karma.
From there I found out Paypal did a hard credit pull. Oh how I love them!
