Stock Photos vs. Non Stock Photos on VERO items?
 

Alright I havent posted on this forum in a while now but I have a question? "My friend resonantly had a item pulled from ebay do to trademark violation". after item being pulled he relisted the item with a stock photo and the auction closed and the item was sold.

So I guess my question is: Is it a good idea to list items with stock photos? or is it better to take your own photos when it comes to VERO items.

I've had Ve RO members attack me and win all day even though all of my product is legit with legit invoices on file with EB.

Did not matter to them, they continued to threaten until I took my own photos and from that point on that is the only thing I do now.

When you do the VeRO quiz on eBay they say to take your own photos, that's what I do.

Stock Photo - Pulled ASAP
Your Own Photo - Better chance of staying
Blurry Photo - A little better chance of staying, but less interest
No photo - 50/50

Are you guys all putting your Ebay ID in the pics also?

Only if it's rare or hard to find. Keeps you more exclusive. But, if it's some random product that can be found in many places, it's not something to worry about.

If you tag it i feel like its safer so no one can steal the pic.

It is against EBay policy to not use photos that you took yourself for items that you list. There are a few categories that EBay provides the photos for. Otherwise using stock images or somebody else's photos is a good way to get your listing pulled.

Or you can just use google images, alot of times you'll find some personalized looking pics in there and then there's also ebay's product catalog that uses stock photo's which I've always had pretty good luck with.

Rsot, isn't it passed your bed time? I just took someone elses personalized pic from google images and posted it on ebay, it's looking pretty good.

Ha jbluntz - I hope you don't really think I am at bed by that time? Actually I am just on the forum during the day - at night is my time to "be like Jbluntz" - train, fug around, and work on other projects...also explains why my sales are not as great as before =P
