Does my paypal account needs to be same as my bank account name?
 

Hi, I recently bought a book and was reading it. I am wondering if I have to use the same name on paypal as my name on bank account if i go Stealth.

Can I do like this: PAYPAL NAME: JOHN SMITH and bank account name: TOM BRADLEY? . Just in addition I am with Common Wealth Bank Australia.

Any kind of suggestion will be appreciated.

As long as you never add funds to your paypal account from the bank account, you're safe.

But i can do the other way around? Like withdraw funds from paypal to bank account?

Yes that's fine. Your name is only revealed if money comes out of your bank, not going in.

Bank name with CBA can differ from paypal name.

NOW, and do note this is just something I am aware of with CBA, names can differ.

I write echecks to ebay all the time from my bank via paypal when owing ebay fees.. since i never keep a lot in paypal for them to keep for 180 days. I've never had a problem with them sending ebay an echeck and the names aren't even close

Does anyone know if NAB allow withdrawing funds from pay pal to the bank account if the names are not the same?
