Ebay linking different stealth accounts!

Hey Guys,

Hey guys,

So I have been hammering at Ebay using the Stealth book for a few months now, and my system was working great until this week. I got temporary selling restriction on one of my stealth account for 7 days, so I decided to use another account until that one cooled down. However, within a few hours I was restricted on that one also even though the product being sold was different. I thought maybe the reason for the restrictions was because the names were similar (2 letter difference in first name) and the same state was being used. So, I decided to use another account, that was restricted also. I am sure I haven't crossed IP addresses and I used different User accounts. Everything is different on the accounts except the product being sold, the state, and my last name (I used variations of my first name) Any ideas on what's going on? Are the similarities close enough to evoke this cascade?
They are requesting documentations, and since I don't have those, will they actually close the accounts? How long should I wait to pull out another stealth account and sell the same product?

Did you just leave those accounts dormant after you created them? When i do that they make call in to verify no matter what i try to list. If you create stealth try to sell at least one item in the first few weeks it is open and then let it rest.

What type of items are you listing??
High risk items will bring attention to your new accounts and then you will be asked to verify your information.

that's why I say one should use different OSs and ifpossible even PCs, also it's better to use IPs from different subnets/ISP as well.

It would help if you could let us know what exactly the message is that you're getting from eBay. If it's "temporary selling restriction" it's usually due to a policy violation.

There is some amount of risk associated with my products....but I don't they are high risk. Also, I gave my accounts at least a month before I started using them. On the first account I spoke of, I got an MC999 - temporary selling restriction. The account is a few months old and I had used it before, so I listed 10 items in one day...maybe that was the red flag. However, the item I listed was the same as before. The other account had never been used, but it was over a month old, so I listed 10 items. The third account was attached to my "prized" account that had been going very well. I listed only one item (not the same item as before) on this month old account. The second and third accounts I used were restricted. My problem is: how is Ebay able to link accounts that technically are different in less than a day????? Are they using my state and last name??? The IP addresses tend to be similar..but there's is always at least two numbers that are different.... I'm using diffferent user accounts, but my PC is the same....could those really be the problem?

Ouch! I'll try to be gentle.

No way can you list 10 items straight away. Raises flags & you got caught. Hence the MC999. Would have been more prudent if you checked here about the next step. And certainly my advice would not have been to crank out other accounts unless you were 100% sure of no linking.

Have you an excel file with all your details?

But, here's the rub. If those other accounts got reviewed, manually, there may have been enough for linking to be determined. What are the subsequent notices? That will confirm ( for me) if you are linked. :suspicious:
So sorry you got this glitch. Let's see what might be done.

Such a bummer....:(. I do have an excel file. I really hope they haven't done a manual review, because that would just be tragic. I haven't gotten anymore messages yet...so we'll see. I'm gonna wait 2 weeks and see if things cool down and let you know what happens.
