Default Do I stay Stealth when switching to a NEW PC?

Very briefly, here is my situation...

I have had the same Desktop PC since 2000. It is slow...it is outdated or course and I want to purchase a new Desktop.
Consider I have been Stealth successfull for 2+ Years.

If I were to buy a new PC, then how does the "NEW" User Account, IP address and everything else fall into place?

Do I just Zip Drive from the Old PC to the new PC and everything is the same? Or is there something I need to do to prevent ANY Linkage via PP/Bay etc...?

In other words, I want a new computer. Will I stay the EXACT same by going from the old to the new?

Any and all suggestions would greatly be appreciated!

Thanks!

As I understand it you need to transfer cookies and beacons. There is an APP in Firefox called FEDE that helps do it.

This is something I need to address as well so I would be interested in what everyone else has to say and also how you get on with it but I do believe it can be done

Yeah I was thinking of getting a new PC as well and didnt know if I should just keep my old one and uprade it and use the new one for a fresh account.

seems easier that way to me.

I guess I'm really concerned about cookies, flash, IP etc... Plus I don't even know what a beacon is.? It seems easy to just plug in and go, but the slightest thing can link you and I'm needing to know how to get around it.
Thanks for everyones input! Keepem coming, I'll figure this out.

When I bought a new laptop and did this I got the phone call telling me they noticed I was on a unrecognized computer.

I answered the phone and had the paperwork in front of me, took a few minutes of address, dob etc and I was ok.

For those who are not techie enough to do all this switching be prepared to get the phone call or other verification questions since they have stepped up security more then ever before.

Thank you Sandy D! What are the change-over procedures? I don't understand what needs to be done? I can have all of the paper work sitting in front of me awaiting the phone call and that shouldn't be an issue, but my next problem would come when the Bay keeps calling during hours when I am not at home.
Then we all know what happens then...they will limit/freeze my account with their stupid A** MC violation. Of course I'm screwed then.

I just want a new PC that's all. Thanks again!

i swap PC's all the time because of the type of work i do and never had a problem

Had to do the phone verication a few times but no recently and i swapped pc last week.

the only thing i make sure is the same is user accounts names.

One way you could do it is just clone your HHD with ghost, acronis, bootit.....

And everything will be swapped

forgot to mention , you should be able to transfer with file and transfer settings wizard as well

I really only know enough about PC's to get myself by. The phone verification would not be an issue and would more than likely expect a phone call.
I am confused on what to clone and how to do so. I'm also clueless on what the HHD is.
Is there a program at Best Buy or some place else that you can purchase that transfers?

Thanks again!

Something else that is very confusing is...how do you transfer User Accounts from one desk top to another??

I'm sure that I am wrong and will give some good laughs to whomever reads this thread, but when you set up a new desk top computer, can you just create a new User Account and give it the same name?

thanks everyone

Cloning HDD (hard disc drive)

However the best way to do it would be windows file and transer setting wizard.

Here's a step by step

With a new PC the only thing that changes were the things contained and contingent on your old PC. Your ebay/paypal/amazon accounts don't change obviously and either does anything else other than the data on your old PC.

Your IP is based on your internet provider and their settings, a new PC won't change that, although you can change your IP one way or another. The only thing a new PC would change is your mac address and of course any tracers such as cookies, but of course you can clear those from your old computer.
