| | | stugots | 10-21-2011 08:54 AM | provide proof you an established seller? question.
I read in stealth, we can make 2 ebay accounts on the same verified paypal using all the same info EXCEPT different email which you add to your pp account.
so my question is, if were using all the same info ebay is GOING to know its the same person anyway, can we just click the "prove your an established seller on ebay" and get higher limits that our other account has? (assuming of course you let it age long enough to get higher limits)
OR will that trigger a "verify" thing? |
| Ebayorbust | 10-21-2011 08:57 AM | I've done this several times with no repercussions. |
| FandangoKango | 10-21-2011 09:07 AM | What is repercussions? Im an idiot. |

Apologies for using such big words. ;) | So you linked your accounts to get higher selling limits or they were using the same info? |
| stugots | 10-21-2011 09:39 AM | when you try and go past tour selling limits (which is usually 10 to start) they say, to raise your selling limits theres 2 choices.
1. conf your Id (questions we cant answer)
2. prove you have an established seller account.
I was wondering if you choose # 2 and link it to your other stealth account in good standing, thats on the same verified paypal account (since your going to use the same name anyway) would that get you clipped |
| FandangoKango | 10-21-2011 11:18 AM | Yes, it will get you clipped or banned sooner or later because your linking 2 accounts with 2 totally different info. That's against ebay policy! |
| seanws30 | 10-21-2011 12:43 PM | first, to do this the account you link to has to be an active seller for more than 90 days. it wont let you link if you are not past this.
my plan is to wait the 90 days out on the accounts i have, then create a 2nd account using the same info after the 90 days, linking the 2, then they will both have higher seller limts. ive done this in the past and have had both accounts go from 10/1000 to 100/5000. |
As seanws30 stated, it is proper to wait 90 days.
From my own experience, if you start a second account too short into the life span of the 1st account, you could get hit with WORSE limits (i.e. I have had a 100/5000 go down to 10/1000) - frustrating but what can you do - part of the testing. |
| GrannyT | 10-21-2011 12:57 PM | I have a platinum PS account that is nearly 12 months old. Can I open a 2nd account - same details - to sell a different type of product? Using same Paypal? |

I have 3 accounts open with the same exact info, selling different things and similar things with different pictures, fonts, prices etc and doing well thus far.
Someone here said you can have as many as you want per address but they were wrong, 3 is the limit per household, per information I was told by ebay when I tried to make a 4th. Something like, sorry you have reached the limits of accounts for this household allowable per ebay rules.
I use the same pp, just different email address for each account so it goes into one pp account. |

| choice | 10-23-2011 05:59 AM | Why would you want the same paypal, assuming this discussion is about accounts. More accounts, more load |
| GrannyT | 10-23-2011 06:01 AM | Time factors in getting an account to the front page |
| choice | 10-23-2011 06:05 AM | This similar accounts discussion, do you HAVE to sell different products/ does it ever come up with ebay?
Just curious |

Just curious | one of ebays many policies is that you dont have multiple accounts to get around the selling limits. ie, selling 10 toasters, then moving to account 2 to sell 10 more toasters. ive done it without issue, but lot of the info is changed. i dont use the exact listing on both accounts. change everything, picture, description, shipping and payment policies, etc. | | All times are GMT -5.
