It is a stealth account that i bought from here and got it personalised! I put up a non-vero listing to this this stealth ac and straight away got hit by MC999. I called up ebay and ebay rep told me that all new accounts are facing this restriction. In order to uplift the restriction.. we gotta fax ebay docs they required.. etc
The email message reads: MC999 - your account is restricted
Thanks for selling on ebay. It's important that we speak with you about recent activity of your a/c. Your listings have been removed until we can talk to you.
So how are we going to fight back this restriction? Can anyone share me your thoughts/ideas? |
| doughboykilla | 10-23-2011 02:07 PM | naw the rep told u a lie there not going to make ever new seller fax docs to them that would drive away there bussiness for sure.
they probly linked u somehow or something u listed got u even non vero items can get u if there high $ |
| Ultimate | 10-23-2011 02:21 PM | I also didn't believe that ALL new accounts must to run thru this as wrote one on previous member, it sounds unbelievable, if thousands and thousands accounts created in day around world will be required for this and eBay need to process these fax IDs.
I am also sure that it will be for two reasons- if they link You in any way and also I found that often 999 is in situation when You start fast selling ( in first days, first week) |
Yeah, no way are they going to make every new seller send information in. They're already bad enough at handling documents you send in to them, imagine if EVERY new seller had to send them that much stuff? Simply impossible.
It must be something that you did whether it be linked to an old account, the items you were selling or just the speed you were trying to sell at. Hey, maybe it was just bad luck. |
| GreenBean | 10-23-2011 06:25 PM | You have MAJOR problems in the first instance.
You are NOT in the USA, are you?
You are using a blacklisted IP. If I can detect that here, what do you think ebay/paypal can do?
Did you bother to tell your seller you were NOT in the USA?
It's very very difficult for us to give help when everything is complicated by the manner in which you use ebay.
Might sound harsh, but that is the case. |

| jbluntz | 10-23-2011 08:13 PM | Ebay can detect vpn's which can trigger mc999 as well. |
| cmbhuy | 10-24-2011 11:36 AM | for first listing just list a cheap non vero item. and if they ask for docs and if you care to keep the account open. they don't look at the docs very closely.. |
| FandangoKango | 10-24-2011 12:35 PM | I only get the mc999 when I list a vero item for the first item, but if I list a non vero and then list a vero item the next day I don't get it. |

But i am wondering, have you tried submitting stealth docs to ebay for stealth accounts? did Ebay lift the MC999 restriction? I am asking as i havent come across any posts in the forum which says such or am i BLIND? I only have heard of make-up invoices.. |

GB
You are in the wrong business.
:D |
| FrancisK | 10-25-2011 06:19 PM | Sounds to me like ebay knows you are a fishy seller but cannot prove it yet. They want you to stumble at some point so they can figure you out.
GB is right (as usual), it stinks when people get the boot but sometimes it's simply justified. If you want to come out with some more info and be honest we may be able to help you more. | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 11:50 AM. | |
