same name, different addy
 

I've been banned with my name on paypal, ebay.

My question is if I use a completely different address (different city, matching IP for the city), different credit card is this okay or a no-no?

Also different birth & mmn details, which I have ID of:)

I don't see how they coiuld ban by name alone. Same name + same area, or same name + same items for sale, perhaps. But unless your name is totally unique, there is likely to be more than one of you.

Having said that, however, we are talking about eBay/PayPal. So, you waill want to make sure that NOTHING ELSE about that account is the same. I would make sure to use a different bank, internet provider, sell different items, COMPLETELY different password, etc.

Others may have different experiences, but I sucessfully used my real name for a second eBay account when my first was banned. I used a dial-up connection in a different state, etc. Everything was different. And, I took it SLOW. I can only say that it worked for me.

As jeffweico says, many names match up so banning on name alone would not be logical - then again we know that eb and pp can have hissy fits from time to time so why not vary your name?
