Okay, so I am newly registered and I have the ebay book, shortly to buy the Amazon book as I have never sold on there before so off I go:-)
You won't find me posting much either, it is just the way I am and I am too old to change LOL.
I started with ebay and paypal back in 1997 so I have sort of grown around their shenanigans and I see them for what they are. I remember back in the day when they were operating out of California literally stealing people's money. I have read it or heard it all at one time or another. I am not a 'Power Seller' nor do I have any intention of becoming one. But the B'stards still mess with me. The latest - and I have absolutely no idea how this happened - was an email telling me that the (registered with them for YEARS) email address was linked to an account that owes them £23.43 from 2006! The account I use as my main account is now "restricted" to 10 items or £650 per month.
So being aware of what to do I opened another seller account and discovered that until I had 'Proved' myself I would be restricted to 10 items per month or £350. As the stuff I sell is less than £2.50 - $4 it is a pain in the ass! Nothing else for it - multiple and i mean MULTIPLE - accounts.
I feel very strongly that we as a community have been put into this position by ebay's inability to manage their business. After all it IS their business. It is up to trhem to manage it and from what I can see they are managing it by restricting sellers. Not the way forward IMHO.
Anyway's - off to buy a couple of eBay accounts:-))
