Wanted to share my problem with USPS this past two weeks!!
 

So I print my shipping labels right off paypal, usualy priority mail 2-3 days delivery.. I shipped about 11 items on last wensday night.. Put it in the drop box, because I usualy dont get to drop them off til after closing time.. a week later my items havent been delivered, not showing up on delivery confirmation. I callthe local post office the first person tells me a bunch of bs nonsense. I call again two days later, a lady tells me ooh yeah there here on the shelf ( only 6 of the 11) said my date on the ship date was like the 25th, but since i got there after closing it should have been the 26th, and also my weight was off by maybe 2-3 ounces. So they wouldnt ship them. Now remember this is a stealth account.. I try to go pick them up and they wont give them to me without an ID! URRRGGGHHH!! Obviously I don't have a id to match this name because it is a stealth account.. But now Im scared to use usps any more because of this bs..
Any suggestions??!! Any feedback would help...

Yeah, they dont like that off date thing these days. they actually got a memo to clerks a few weeks ago talking about this. They are supposed to reject any parcel that doesnt have todays date on it. Regardless.

I have an older computer for my inventory so if I use that to print labels they print out for the date that I printed them. It wont let me upgrade to the new flash player or something like that, not sure exactly but since I cannot up grade it then I cannot change the date when using that computer.

They dont get it when I tell them this. They just tell me they cannot take them.

It has been relaxed a bit here. they were on top of it for a few weeks but now I sent 1-2 day late pkgs all the time.

I imagine the shipping weight did it in for you.

as for how you are going to take care of it. I think you should just contact the Post master or the person that reps them at your location an tell them what you are doing. Maybe the best you can without making it sound illegal. it will sound that way to them probably.

I think it was your weight. That is a big difference depending on what class you ship.

I send 20-30 packages a day but always make sure I over estimate the weight by 2-3 ounces and no one has ever question or given me issues on shipping dates.

Wow I guess I better go buy a small scale. I always try to estimate the weight of the package.

Thanks for your responses! I def need a scale then.. I don't really know if I will be able to get the packages back now.. but I sure am going to call today and try.. trying to think of a good s of a good way to say it without them thinking on I'm some faud stuff.. don't think they will understand the stealth stuff.. might just count it as a loss.. :(

I haven't print labels in over a year. I only use the prepaid usps supplies which you can get at www.usps.com and go to supplies and they are free and you just pay a fixed rate at the post office.
