you may get away with it but if they take a close look then it's probably something they will see

contact the seller in good time via email and ask if it is okay for them to send to a different address

ask the seller if they print postage, and if so,not to do it in your case as it will input your delivery info which was banned

some sellers will not do this!

if their gonna play ball...purchase,bid whatever and give them the correct address via email

I did it yesterday. Placed bid, won auction, sent message to the seller and they happily agreed to deliver it on my old, banned address. But is it a mistake if you contact them through eBay? Was I supposed to send the message out of eBay? If so, where can I find their eMail address for sending message? Thanks in advance.

You might get away with it & you can find sellers email address in the bottom of the listing page left corner, in sellers information.

Definitely stay out of EB messages at all times.

yeah it was a mistake to message in ebay

you need to get their email address

if it is not available, ask the seller for it,make up an excuse

then ask

glad you thought it was a good idea

abit un orthodox but it works

the idea is to contact the seller via email and you can normally sense if they are cool with it

i would not advise buying expensive items using this method, most sellers would not do it anyways if the item costs quite abit

but if it is just to build some feedback then its a good workaround

also remember to ask the seller not to print postage so your banned address does not go into the paypal system and get linked to the paypal account you are using

postal order with a note is another good way to stay under the radar, again only for cheap items

Thanks a lot for your kind responses koko, unknown and DTB.

I am buying items using these da*ned accounts so will be way more careful when I would have established stealth/s. Thanks again.

Nip this practice in the bud right now.

You are going to be tripped up if you are not careful.

To back up what I am saying, read post 13 of this thread

See your paypal transaction details. It should show their email address there.

jnveed 11-07-2011 04:10 AM

Yes, it does show in PayPal transaction page but I think it's when you complete check out. And then you can't be sure if they are going to pay any attention to your email requesting the change in the delivery address.

I believe that not all the sellers on eBay put their email address in the bottom of the listing page, in sellers information (unless they decide to or they are business sellers). I had this business account and I put all of my contact details i.e, return address, phone number and email address but never bothered with the private accounts.

yeah you need to get their email address before you buy or bid

as they can decline to carry out the transaction if you request them to send to an address which is not your delivery address
