Do Dollar Store Items Sell Well?

Hello all
Do dollar store items sell well, I just loaded up on 25 dollars worth but as I look on ebay it seems as if so many people are selling the same thing, Im still going to list my products but damn it seems as if the categories are saturated.

Good for boosting feedback, but not profit. This should be obvious.

They sell pretty well for me, depends on what it is of course, I was selling 1 item that went for a few bucks each made at about $2 per sale in the clear.

Wont give away my secret but I do sell a dollar store item(s) that sells over and over again and I make 5-6 bucks per sale and drop the item in a mailer.

Sold more then 20 today over several accounts.

So yes, some items in the dollar store has some profit in them.

sandy d now has my respect. thats the thing a little hard work and research goes a long way. Selling at times is a beautiful thing.

they sell really well.

you need to work out if profit is worth the work, in packaging, time, returns, questions etc

but yeh it could work, I do them, bought for 99p and sold for a 50p-£1 more that is all, but only as a feedback booster and, it pays for the fees on my bigger items and that way all the profit I make on bigger items is mine.

I also have accs that have a niche and the $1 items are peripheries to the large equipment for sale, and I always mention it on the listing and that really works as they were gonna buy it anyway and it all comes in same order package.

For me I love the challenge of being able to find a product right under your nose and turn a profit on it.

Admit it is no huge profit but if you bundle things in groups the profits rises for you.

Cool well ill keep trying at it and for some reason when i list an item with buy it now and auction price it wont let me change the quantity number from one to several, it stays at one. Is ebay blocking that or something?

MtnDew 11-07-2011 02:49 PM

ummm...should let you make sure your under the right tab..."buyitnow" not "auction".

Good luck

You are sooo wrong.

UnderBites08 11-08-2011 02:09 AM

Its still great you can build feedback and get your account off the radar all in one profit or not

I don't live in a cardboard box. I have to pay real bills here. You can keep your piles of $1 notes as high as you want.

And I do not either. You said there was no profits to be made at all and you just admitting you were wrong. You seem to have a problem with anyone doing well with anything. Some here do not have the money to invest in stock like we do so it might help them get started and make a fe dollars.

You were there once yourself.

Maybe u r living above your means if 100 a day or more profit on 10 accounts. Is not enough for you.

Try and give back what u learned so others can benefit once in a while.

Maybe u need a financial counseler to help manage your 1 bills better.

My goodness. If he does not want to mess with a huge stack of 1 bills then he must be filty rfich. Then again he said he has a lot of bills. If so in that case a large stack would come in handy you would think.

100 a day profit from dollar is is good money. And he thinks this is the only item I sell. Little does he know.

Constantly posting negatives and downing people when they try to help other is not cool.

Glad I help you out and sorry your thread got hijacked by someone who loses more accountd then most do.

Good luck op.

wonderwoman901 11-09-2011 05:24 PM
