Can I open a ebay buyer case?

I bought something on my stealth account a zebra lp2844 to be exact and the guy totally screwed me over is it okay if you open a ebay buyer case or does that mess up your account?

Would not mess up your account - have done this before.

Good to hear i thought i was out of like $80

Do you think i would have much of a case if they said they had no way of testing it?

I want to open a ebay case for buying something because some guy completely screwed me over on a thermal printer but in the messages he sends he had it listed used and that in the description that he couldnt test it and had no idea but when i got the box there was a printed test label would that make for a good case on eb? Also you can open buyer cases on eb right? doesnt raise any red flags or anything?

just a minute ago saw a similar topic and they said there that would be ok. just look around, you will find this thread.

I posted that thread now im trying to see if i have a good case

You have a case if and only if he DIDNT list it as "not working or for parts". If it just said "used" then you have a case regardless.

I had a similar case a while back where I sold something that was completely locked up and claimed it was locked up and would not work at all, needed rebuilt.

he buys these for parts all the time from other sellers so I know hew just repairs this type of item and resells. He got mine and decided it was out of his range of knowledge or expense and filed the claim saying it didnt work.

I filed the appeal and lost because it was not listed "for parts" They told me if I would have listed it under that category I would have won the claim.

Just didnt put it on there since I didnt like how it looked on the search. I do it the right way now.

Good news he listed it as used thanks king ray!

Dont make another thread on basically the same topic.

Keep in mind you can file a case

You should try to negotiate with the seller

Be prepared for nastiness.

ebay play differently for each account.
