| | | stugots | 12-12-2011 11:58 AM | I am actually in the process of testing paymate, I need a little help from the community tho, I am going to make a thread about this but if anyone reading this here can chime in that would be great.
I liked my paymate account to ebay, it was accepted, I dont need a merchent account (yet anyway), it states active, this account meets all the requirments and has been approved, how when buyers try to pay it says "Seller has not set up their account to receive payments yet. Please contact Paymate and advise seller"
these dumb people dont answer their phones, EVER any paymate guru's here? what can I do?
Thanks
after I get this settled im gonna have a TON of experiments with paymate |
| Hercules | 12-12-2011 01:45 PM | The last time I checked if you go below 98%FB at Paymate it's over.
And that disbursements are at 2 week intervals...
I think you have to go inside EB to connect Paymate the proper way.
I'm going back a year or so in my mind so take heed.
I don't use them |
| jamblix | 12-12-2011 02:04 PM | Yeah, I used Paymate about a year ago to. They were pretty awesome and other then buyers WHO DON'T READ THE AUCTION TERMS things went pretty smoothly. Actually thinking back, even if the buyer thought it was Payp it was pretty easy persuading them to trust Paymate and make the payment.
"Seller has not set up their account to receive payments yet. Please contact Paymate and advise seller"
I did not come across this as soon as Paymate accepted me as a merchant and I linked the Paymate to eB, things were smooth sailing. And I do agree they're customer service isn't really up to par, but they will answer and help you...eventually. |
| stugots | 12-12-2011 05:23 PM | yeah they want to run a credit check and everything, no more standard accounts only merch, SCREW THAT.
next I wanna experiment with gateways and credit cards, anyone know a good gateway (maybe even free) that works with ebay? I know which merch im gonna use already |

| Mzgr3k0 | 12-13-2011 08:00 AM | You know PayPal for sure knows people are using bs accounts . They love criminals like us. We remind them of themselves ! |
| stugots | 12-16-2011 09:59 AM | ok new info.
tesed this for a month and it completed last night.
had a pp account limited, you know its bad when they send the limit email like 19 times (whos pool did I piss in huh?) so I made another pp, got killed in 5 mins, ANOTHER 10 mins.
started a 3rd, allowed payments from ebay to go in as well as sending invoices from items sold before BUT never added a cc at all, let all the payments build up, 21 day holds were over, added a card, sent the money BOOM limited.
this tells me paypal does not look at you as a threat until you have means to take or send the money (like by adding a cc) |
@stugots, these pp's ALL for the same eb account? I had discussed on another thread =( could have saved that testing but, for what it's worth, yes sometimes you have to see it to believe it. I have had an eb account that I was supporting once upon a time that had 10 pp's all go down in one form or another. NOW there are folx who say if you create a new pp via stealth methods (relatively speaking), it may last longer... |
| stugots | 12-17-2011 09:10 AM | I missed where you said that but im VERY interested (even more so at the moment) which thread? or cant you paste it here? |
| stugots | 12-26-2011 10:18 PM | update.
ebay is doing almost 100% manual reviews.
I made an ebay logo and when a customer clicked on it, went to my site LOL
10 stealths selling different stuff had this on all listings they caught EVERYONE.
and sent me an mail saying it |
| FandangoKango | 12-27-2011 09:36 PM | Why would you make a logo going to your site. Of course you will be caught! |
| cortex | 12-28-2011 08:29 AM | Thank you very much for the invaluable info - maximum kudos :hail: |
| oompaloompa | 12-28-2011 11:53 AM | that is interesting info on the 21 day hold.
true about politeness and calling ebay/paypal, i have got stuff achieved with that.... |
| stugots | 12-29-2011 08:01 PM | the logo was well good way to get people to my site but also test if it was a manual review everytime, got my answer |
All good work stugots - testing is always good. |

i list some like i mentiond and they have not been taken down.
Another way is to have a CLICK ME massive saving/20% discount banner that links to your about me page, where you can have two links to your faviorate websites ( your own ), From what i see it works just as good if not better and its allowed.
Keep up the good work. |
| cortex | 01-06-2012 08:24 PM | 1. what if an eb account has a weblink in the about-me page and gets NARU'd..then you make another/have another eb account with the same weblink? will it get "linked"?
2. can you have an eb username such as: buycheapstuff_co_uk ? |
| GreenBean | 01-06-2012 08:34 PM | @cortex
On a manual review, that could be picked up.
That type of user name is OK especially if you make a business ebay/paypal account & have relevant paperwork.:amen:
Way round it could depend on how that name on the weblink has been made. NB, I a not saying teh ebay name:amen: |

use a forwarder, so you have a different web address that leads to it a bit like this site uses, dobut it would get picked up. Quote:

| cortex | 01-07-2012 01:16 PM | TizWoz: basically can an eb4y username be a clue to a website owned by the eb4y seller.
i.e. my eb4y user ID could be amazon_com or it could be cheapcrap_com or chineseipod_org so when buyers see your username they think "oh that looks like a website...let me type it into google n see what else they sell"
Get my drift? |
| Stigger | 01-08-2012 10:10 AM | :thumb: i see what you mean now, yes people do that but i would not use one that is same as a website you have had connected to another user account or pp that when down, if that makes sense i would say that too finer line.
for marketing then yes you could do that if the website is clean to eby pp, you could also add it to feedback comments, if you have shop add it to your header with keyword as all them locations appear in google.
Just remember if you have a website doing any sort of trade and the eby account goes down it could effect you website trade, as the eby search results could appear above of just below you in google.
So if someone search for you either by address or product in goggle then the links for your baned eby will appear in goggle too which can make you look bad even though you are not. |

if at all possible, ship using paypals labels, your money will be available alot sooner. | Does it really work that way? How long should I print from PP in order to get funds sooner, or will it happen just after a few times?
(I always print from Ebay and never try PP) |

its not the posting via pp lables, it proof of delivery via online tracking, just add the tracking to paypal as soon as you can.
if you sell something and its been delivered, then 3 working days later you can email pp to get the money released if it is not done.
also if feedback is left. |
| Bingo | 01-08-2012 02:16 PM | My account is just almost 3 months, 21 day policy still applies to all items. If I contact them, I would have to do that for all items. I'm afraid of pulling their attention to my account.
I received only 7 feed backs on 21 items sold (33%), do you think it's too few?
On my another account, some gave (+) feed back but didn't rate. Is it a not good sign for Ebay? |

there is a certain email address you should use, it is different of us lot.
but all you need to do is email them with the details of the transactions
like name of customer, PP transaction id, tracking number and the service used like web address the tracking number can be entered/checked. |
| Bingo | 01-08-2012 02:37 PM | Maybe I will do that with items having high values.
I usually use Priority mail, so the shipping time is fast, hope I can receive my funds that soon. | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 12:36 PM. | |
