Urgent question!

Quick question ...

I was about to refund someone but apparently it withdrew from my bank account so it's an echeck. My question if PayPal is going to withdraw money from bank bank account will they know my original name and flag it/limit it ?

JRYAN34 11-12-2011 01:47 AM

If your name would have been a red flag they would have done something immediately when you linked it.

holyhell 11-12-2011 03:57 AM

They can't see your bank details, so it shouldn't be a problem.

GrannyT 11-12-2011 05:35 AM

Depends on how different the details are. Could be a problem IMO

So who do I listen to holyhell or GrannyT's Avatar

A name might be seen on transfer with some banks.

One might think if this account has had such a transfer that went thro' OK before, there is a reduced chance of trouble.

But it's paypal & one would not predict :juggle:

I got limited and doc request after a similar thing, the account was fairly new which might of flagged it more.

Whenever money is moved out of a bank via transfer, an electronic receipt is generated. the receipt - if manually checked - would show the real name of the bank account holder. Most of the time, there is no problem with pp

As GB has said - unpredictable

I would do what ever I could to stop this happening again

stanislav 11-12-2011 02:38 PM

Now the question is how do I stop this refund without alerting paypal?

Bunneh 11-12-2011 03:36 PM

i personally would rather be safe than sorry...

as far as i know, the person recievng can only cancel it..

stanislav 11-12-2011 03:51 PM

Nothing can be done once an e-check is started by paypal.

Options would involve your bank & that's only making more trouble.

Becuase you have started a transaction you now must hope it will go through.

Future actions will 'alert paypal' :mad2:
